Why they want to house sit

As we are on the lookout for a suitable place to start our own business within the next 4 to 5 years, we first like to experience the above locations to get a closer feel with the surroundings.
This meaning that besides the watch over some house, we'd also would like to check upon the surrounding area NEARBY, so should owners expect sitters to be onsite 24/24 this shouldn't be a problem as we'd only visit sites closeby.
Only 3 weeks available in 2013, but 3 or 6 months in 2014/2015 (oct, nov, dec, jan, feb,mar)

Their experience

As housesitters we are NOT experienced, BUT... as owners, we both maintain very high standards when it come to cleaningness and maintenance to one's house, as we would maintain our own !!! We are both engineers in IT, working full time in Belgium and hope to get to meet people in our places of interest who could "introduce" us a bit in the area , or so on this site, provide us with a proper location as a base.
We grew up with pets (cats and dogs), so we don't mind taking care of them. We are not "specialized" in animal care but ofcourse we do love every living creature ;-)
Before the IT-business I worked as an electrician and renovator of homes (10y) after that I became manager in a shop for floorings with 15 employees (10y).
Nancy has traveled the world extensively, mostly Asia and infected me (Patrick) since the first day we met. We have set it as a goal to live in and with nature, unfortunately Europe is everything but that !!

What can they bring to the assignment

As I (the husband) have worked before as a lead in a cleaning company (after daytime job) , I do know the required standards expected by the owners and am equaly experienced as a lead for a group of cleaners. With our technical background we allways keep an eye open for details (repairs, maintenances, ....) and are handy enough to fix most minor repairs in case of emergencies.
