About this sitter
We are a very capable and mature couple. We are both part time,self employed, so are very flexible with our time.
We enjoy experiencing new places, walking, gardening and spending time in a locality.
Why they want to house sit
We welcome offers for sits in Italy, France, Switzerland or Spain particularlly, any length of time. We are also interested in shorter house sits, in or out of season, in other Mediterranean areas We currently live in a small first floor apartment in central London and having both been used to pets, we welcome any opportunity to look after cats and dogs, plus other pets.
We are also interested in medium to long term positions in other locations e.g. the USA or Spain.

We have had many house sit assignments in Spain, France, Italy, Rhodes and the UK. We have also house sat and house swapped with friends and relations.
We have extensive experience with dog and cat care.
We can provide many excellent house sitting references and also professional referees.
What can they bring to the assignment
We have a wealth of experience in pet care and home care alike. We are also both extremely practical, should the need arise.
We are quiet, calm and respect how others live and keep their homes.
We always carry our gardening gloves and a small tool kit, in case there are little things to fix.
We would also consider paid positions, that required more full on gardening and maintenance, heating related work, decorating or the like.

Perfect Sitters
Carey and Robin looked after our dog Milo and our home for two weeks. Milo got lots of walks and play time too he was a very very happy dog on our return. Possibly sad to see us back! Just the best
A big thank you to Carey and Robin who proved to be the BEST sitters we ever had! Intelligent, warm and so capable we felt comfortable from the outset and had no qualms about leaving them for 3 weeks with our pets and our home. Communication was good before and during our holiday with messages and photos. Our labrador was walked and played with regularly, taken for trips out, given lots of affection and new toys! Our cat, a timid and wary Siamese, was within days cuddled up to Robin and completely relaxed. The house, pool and garden were immaculate and on our return a hot meal awaited. What more can you ask….except to come back next time!

Excellent sitters
Carey and Robin looked after our cats, house and garden for 4 weeks in September 2023. They were excellent in every respect. They clearly loved our cats and looked after them really well and the cats loved them. The house was spotlessly clean when we returned and Carey had even cooked us a meal. The garden and house plants were thriving, and the large vegetable patch had been tended really well. We would highly recommend Carey and Robin.

Wonderful, friendly housesitters.
We booked Carey well in advance and she took things in her stride when I had to contact her about a few issues I was having on the housesitting platform. Carey and Robin are a super friendly couple, and did a great job looking after things whilst we were away. They housesat for us for a few days and then handed over to some friends of ours. They were happy to liaise with our friends who were also very impressed with them. Hopefully, they will be available again in the future.

Wonderful house and pet sitters
Carey snd Robin house and pet sat for us for 10 days while we went on holiday. This was out first time using such a service, so we were a little nervous and didn’t know what to expect. We needn’t have worried at all! They are a super lovely couple who we met before we went away and it was clear our dog was going to have the best time while we were gone! They were just great. Our dog adored them and I think the 2 cats had more love and attention while we were gone than they normally receive from us. Carey and Robin have a lovely peaceful quality about them. They’re really friendly and we felt really comfortable leaving them in our home. I really hope they will house and pet sit for us again. The house was spotless when we came home which was such a fab surprise after a delayed flight back. And Robin has been a font of knowledge over our heating system! Brilliant, lovely people.

A great house sitter and lovely person
A long time writing this testimonial (sorry Carey),, but have finally got round to it. Carey and Robin are a lovely couple and perfect house sitters. Looked after our dog and cat, with long walks (for the dog) and cuddles (for both). The house was spotless on our return and Carey had been so kind in making a lasagna for us and getting in a few bits for the fridge as we ended up getting home later than planned. Was delicious too! Highly recommended, looking forward to seeing them again.

Carey and Robin
Carey and Robin stayed in our house for a couple of months this summer. They were everything and more than I expected. The dogs were so happy because they were genuinely loved by both Carey and Robin.They spent most of their time in the house working on their various projects which was perfect as the dogs were always in company. On my arrival it was so nice to find the house was spotless and the garden very well looked after. A real plus was that they are so easy to get on with and adapted to all my changes of plan along the way, like my children and their partners coming back home for a few days every so often. Thank you guys! I really hope you will come again

Simply the best!
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN Carey and Robin first came to house sit here in Grimaud about 9 years ago and since then they have stayed here many times. They have become real friends as I have 100% peace of mind with them looking after my house and my precious pets! They love France and know their way around extremely well, they both speak enough French to sort any problems out, which they do happily, more often than not without having to contact me! Each time I return home, the place is spotless, my dogs are happy and there are always some flowers! Robin and Carey came to look after our home and two dogs during Easter 2015. We have a Bulldog with health problems and a Cane Corso, so finding Robin and Carey was a blessing! They were absolutely superb with the dogs, walking them in the forests and around the village, and even gave Doris tummy massages! They also undertook many little jobs (including repairing our pool and plastering a wall!) whilst we were away. The housesit was so successful that we asked them to come back during Summer 2016 for another, much to Doris and Astro's delight! I absolutely recommend them.
