Marion is the best!

Marion has been our house/pet-sitter several times since 2021, and we have found her to be responsible, reliable, honest, trustworthy and amazing with animals. She has a real connection with animals and truly cares for them. In my experience, this is rare. She cares for our two dogs, three indoor cats and our parrot as if they are her own. For the first time, I can leave on vacation worry-free, knowing our furry family is in the very best hands. Marion pays particular attention to their behavioral patterns and their eating, sleeping and bathroom habits, noticing even the smallest deviation from their individual routines and always keeps us informed. Although we have yet to have a pet emergency during one of her visits, we are confident that she would do whatever is necessary to ensure that our pet receives whatever medical care is required. The bottom line is that, once she arrives at your house for a stay, your home and pets are in the best hands possible, and the animals love her! Marion requires that you pay her travel expenses to your home from her previous assignment, plus a small daily stipend for groceries. I consider this to be very reasonable, and you can always count on her to find the most economical prices for her travel arrangements and to make the arrangements as easy and convenient as possible for you. We have had numerous other sitters over the years, most of whom have come to our house to enjoy their stay in California in addition to caring for our pets, but Marion is not looking for that. She is totally focused on caring for your pets and your home while you are away. I don't think you will find a more caring house sitter than Marion. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I hope she never retires because I am no longer comfortable with anyone else caring for my fur-babies while I’m away.

Such a happy kitty!

Marion was with Sienna for 3 weeks in December and Sienna loved her! When I got back she was glad to see me but still wanted to cuddle with Marion. There were a few accidents - Sienna threw up on the bed - but Marion took care of everything. She also sent me regular check-ins and photos. She will be coming back to us in March.

Marion is the best with all types of pets

We have had the good fortune of Marion caring for our ranch twice now and absolutely adore her. We have a full house here with dogs, cats, donkeys, pigs, goats, chickens, and ducks. She learned the routine quickly and earned the trust and love of all our animals - even our vey shy and anxious dog Wolfie. She is highly organized, reliable and communicates daily with us while we are away. She sends photos, videos and updates which helps us really stay relaxed and confident that all is well at home while Marion is there. We also had some flooding in our garage due to a busted water heater and she got a hold of us right away, sent photos and helped coordinate getting it fixed. We are so happy to have found Marion and plan for her to care for our ranch again. She truly is an amazing, kind, and genuine person and gives so much of herself when caring for.others home and pets.

Marion was wonderful!

Marion was a wonderful pet sitter. She was willing to be flexible when we had unforeseen circumstances that led to us having to ask her to pet sit at an Airbnb instead of in our home. Our dogs loved her and they were loved in return and well cared for while we were away. I highly recommend Marion for pet/house sitting.

Lovely!

Marion was our cat nanny while we were out of the country for about 10 days. She arrived exactly as planned, was kind and pleasant to chat with, and genuinely loves animals and treats them with respect, without letting them get away with chaos. We have 4 cats, each with a unique personality and they don’t all always get along and Marion handled all of this beautifully. Right before the trip, one kitty got sick and we thought it was taken care of at the vet with us, but while we were gone, we found out that it was actually a stomach bug that all the cats ended up passing around. We’re so grateful Marion was here because she did everything necessary to make sure they were all taken care of, cleaned the messes off the floor, and kept us informed very well. Will definitely think of Marion the next time we need to go away (and hopefully they won’t catch a stomach bug again).

House and Cat Sitter

Marion cared for our house and “mature” cat while we spent the month in Europe. We found the experience to be beyond our expectations. It was clear that our “Walter” had bonded with her - obviously he was well taken care of! The house was left in clean, tidy and well-organized fashion. Marion is awesome!

We were fortunate to find Marion as she was coming to Oregon on another assignment. So we worked in our vacation around her schedule. We only had a short time with her before we left, but we were comfortable with her right away. We have a parrot, a cat, and 12 chickens. At the time of our departure, one of our chickens injured her leg and was being bullied by the others so we had her separated from the others. So Marion had the task of grabbing her every evening and making sure she was put into her makeshift coop. Marion was very attentive to her and took very good care of her. In fact, a week later when we got home, she had flown over the fence to be with the other chickens and she was well enough that she was no longer bullied! Marion also sang and played the piano to our parrot as well as tried to get him to learn new words. Everything was well taken care of and she texted daily to let us know what was going on. We would definitely welcome her back into our home again!

Wonderful house and pet sitter

I would strongly recommend Marion. She took very good care of our dog and cat and kept our home clean as well. Grateful and Thankful!

We are so very grateful and thankful that Marion was able to flight in to SC so last minute. We made a last minute decision to go to Florida looking for a new house. We have 2 70lb pit bulls and the boss of the house Link the cat. Marion was not concerned about being with our babies and they new that immediately. My older dog had major separation anxiety when we leave and he did AMAZING! If you are looking for someone to watch your pets Marion is the right person for the job! Best Caregiver for Your Pets!!!

Marion did an amazing job looking after my two dogs while I was away for nearly 7 weeks. I had never left them for such a long time since they were rescued from the pound and worried they would not survive in a kennel. Marion quickly contacted me after I posted the advertisement and shared her information and requirements without hesitation. I am forever grateful I selected her to take care of my furry friends. An animal lover through and through! They won't miss you!

Your pets will be so happy with Marion they might be a little disappointed when you return! Seriously, Marion's love and connection to animals is really extraordinary. My plans changed slightly and I spent the first week in my home with Marion and saw her interact with them. They could tell she was a real kindred spirit loved her right away. During the day she spent plenty of time on the couch where my two senior dogs loved hanging out with her. She let my little girl Nami out frequently and if she had a bit of an accident was very understanding. Nami spent most of her life as a puppy mill mom and doesn't have the best bladder control. My dogs were only left alone for a short time each day ... or she spent the whole day with them. At night they slept with her. They were in heaven. It was great to have the opportunity to get to know her and share my community with her, as well as find out about her home country and Mind My House travels. She's a wonderful vegetarian cook and kindly shared some of her dishes with me. She also had affection for the community feral cat community in our neighborhood. I have cat houses and set out food for three or so cats every afternoon. She clearly delighted in their scrappy presence and providing them with the highlight of the day ... dinner. The house was very neat and clean when I arrived home. You can go away and feel really confident that your pets and home will be just fine with Marion, highly recommended.

House and Dog Sitter

Marion came to Prescott and stayed with our dog for two separate vacations in October and November. She was extremely diligent about walking and caring for our dog, Cocoa. She sent photos and messages while we were gone. She even stayed with us between vacations and it was really fun getting to know her. She had tears in her eyes when she said goodbye to Cocoa. We would definitely recommend her for your animal sitting needs.

This sitter is a real dog fan!

Marion flew in from Phoenix to our home in Cincinnati to care for our cocker spaniels and birds. She came for the entire week of Thanksgiving , allowing us to travel to visit family. We knew our house and fur and feathered "Kids" were in kind and capable hands! The dogs loved her and I am so grateful for her expertise in animal care, as she had to give my dog, Bob, his daily medicine. She did this without any problems and is a very conscientious person. I hope if we need a sitter again, Marion will be available!

Very good with my dog!

Marion stayed at my house for a week while I was away at a conference. She was very good with my dog and was genuinely concerned about his well being! She went for 4 walks a day with him and gave him lots of love. She also was very responsive to e-mails and gave me updates on what was happening at home. She also was flexible with travel plans. I live in a one bedroom apartment and she was fine to share the small space with me once I returned from my trip. Definitely would recommend her to any considering a sitter!

Extraordinary Caretaker

Marion house sat form me for 2 weeks this July/August (2017),which entailed caring for my 3 dogs, my flower beds and plants, during my family's 6 week trip to Europe. If I were to use every superlative in the English language to describe Marion's fierce dedication,and absolutely vibrant,genuine personality and altruistic nature I could not do her justice. Marion took great care to be sure that she was clear on my expectations and the particular needs and habits of each of my dogs. She was ever so open and willing to accomodate my dogs and their quirks and needs without issue. Even allowing my dogs to sleep in the bed with her, even after she learned of what space hogs they could be! During my absence, I had a very untoward experience with one caretaker culminating in an aborted agreement for her to house sit. Marion was extremely proactive and went above and beyond to assist in my finding a solution to this looming problem that was very stressful to have to contend with while abroad, especially with a 7 to 9 hour time difference. Her deep concern for my situation and love for my dogs became very apparent during that time. She was an immense help to me in trying to procure another sitter and helping me scout out options. Marion was also very emotionally supportive during this time which made it exponentially less stressful than it would have been otherwise. My family and I are looking forward to meeting with Marion this week as she is nearby at another assignment. I can not wait to see my pets reunite with her for a visit. I have already booked Marion for 2 weeks next summer, and am so happy I can rest assured knowing my dogs will be in the best of hands. I could not have dreamt up a better caretaker than I have found in Marion through MindMyHouse. I refer to my dogs as "angels in dog suits," and now I refer to Marion, my pet sitter, rightully so, as "an angel in a human suit" ! Marion took care of our pets and condo for 10 days while we were on vacation. We paid for her plane ticket to visit us and she came a little early to meet us and review our care guidelines. Great first experience

Marion took great care of our dog and cat while we traveled outside of the country. She sent us daily updates and we loved seeing pictures of our babies in her instagram. We were nervous because it was our first time using a petsitter but she did everything in her power to help us feel at ease. Our cat is usually shy around new people but she was out and playing with her within 2 hours of being at our home. Our dog grew very attached to her and was sad to see her leave. 3 Dogs and 3 Horses in Ohio

Marion did a great job with our crew. I was a little apprehensive at first because she had limited experience with horses, but she picked up their routine right away and everything went fine. Even with our skittish one. If your horses are relatively uncomplicated and don't need intense handling, Marion can do it. She was also very good with our fearful dog. He has a hard time meeting new people but he loved her. My husband and I really appreciated her daily updates. We would definitely have her sit for us again.

Very Good Sitter for Pet Care

Marion provided catcare for my 5 cats several times, and they looked forward to her visits. Marion is wonderful with animals and developes good rapport with them.
