About this sitter

Responsible couple in our early sixties considering options for our retirement.

We are looking for longer term assignments. Prefer maintenance/caretaker type possibilities over pet sitting, but dogs and farm animals are OK.

Why they want to house sit

We would like to house sit as a way to meet new people and spend time in parts of the country and world that we have not experienced.

Their experience

No house sitting experience (yet), but husband has had many years of facilities maintenance experience. He also grew up working on farms and operating some machinery.

Husband has also been to Manaus, Brazil, and Athens, Greece.

We have also traveled to Italy (2017)

What can they bring to the assignment

Responsibility and reliability. Maintenance and gardening experience. A willingness to try to learn new languages (English is our native language, husband knows a little Brazilian Portuguese). Both of us took German in high school, but that was a long time ago. We have learned a little Italian.
