You've just landed a great job internationally or you're looking for a bit of a sea change for a while. You can't just leave your house because you have animals, or gardens or you just can't bare your house to be all shut up while you're away. So a 'house sitter' is what you need.

You're leaving your house to a relative stranger. You wonder, will it be looked after nicely, maintained. Will it be cared for as well as you care for it. Will your possessions be safe? Gardens maintained? Will You come home to the place feeling as though you never left it?

If you these are your concerns then I'm the right person to house sit for you. 

I'm an experienced traveller with a variety of hobbies and interests. I like to stay at home, and have never been interested in partying or entertaining much. 

I teach English as a Second Language and also do freelance writing. I recently began studying for my Masters Degree in Education via correspondence. In my free time I like learn languages and to study history and nutrition.

Warum ich Haus-Sitter sein möchten

Being an Australian and having grown up downunder the rest of the world I developed an interest in travel very young.

Over the past five years I have lived and worked in Turkey, and traveled to England, Ireland, Wales, Italy, France, Germany, Holland, Bulgaria, Greece, India, Malaysia and Thailand.

I have also taught at a Language school in Australia, with a student base consisting of Brazillians, Arabs, Chinese, Japanese, Polish, Czech, Swiss, French, Congolese and Columbian students. 

I love my work. However having just begun my masters degree I am looking for a more settled adventure and somewhere to stay so I can escape the costs of rent for a while. 

I don't mind being in an English speaking or non English speaking country. Being a trained language teacher I pick up languages easily and I also know a little Spanish, French and German.

Meine Erfahrungen

I have had some short house sit experiences a weekend here or there for friends/colleges/bosses. 

I also worked in a Turkish hostel/pension for the summer of 2005. Where I did housekeeping, cooking, was a hostess and did what ever odd jobs were required. 

What I can bring to the assignment

I will give you peace of mind. The knowledge that your house and everything in it will be maintained with the utmost care. 

I have a lot of gardening experience and also some with farm animals. I don't mind domestic animals either. I'm happy to look after dogs, cat's fish, birds and even more exotic animals like reptiles.
