About this assignment

This would suit remote workers or those wanting to explore Santa Fe in a laid-back way. Someone who is okay spending time with some old dogs and cats (and one young one) but can use the days to explore all Santa Fe offers. Dates are approximate as of yet and can be adjusted slightly

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We need someone at the house overnight; the critters can't stay alone for long periods. Daily responsibilities include a short morning dog and evening dog walk, dog and cat feeding, litter cleaning, opening and closing the catio and cat room during the daytime, maintaining the home's cleanliness, and some pet snuggles. There is 2 elderly medium-sized dogs and 3 cats (one three years old, the two others over 10)

What are the good features of the property and location

We are incredibly lucky with our 3 bed 2 bath home with incredible views. While our home isn't located in downtown Santa Fe, we are super lucky to be in a safe, quiet, peaceful neighbourhood, with a house that backs onto trails and is a 3-5 minute walk from our backyard to our local park, frisbee golf course, all while being a short drive from anything you'd like to see in Santa Fe. The backyard is private, with views of the mountains and loungers and a table set up for soaking up the sun.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Our two dogs are quite elderly and move slowly, so they can't join you on any big hikes anymore but still love their trail from our backyard or short adventures. We do go back onto some stunning land, which we are so lucky for, but that does mean we have coyotes and wildlife around, so our cats are strictly indoor only. Still, we do have a catio available during the day and room specifically for them in the evenings so you can leave the dog door open.
