We live in a large thatch house on very large grounds on the mountainside in beautiful Cape Town and are a looking for a real animal lover who will enjoy looking after our 9 dogs in December and January.
Your duties will include preparing their food (freshly cooked) and feeding them, walking them daily, brushing them as well as playing treat for tricks with them and ensure that they are happy and content.
Our dogs are our "babies", they are much loved family members and are very important to us.
We won't be away all the time so you will have plenty of opportunity to explore the surroundings and do sightseeing. On days were we won't be around we would require you to stay with the dogs 24/7.
- Spending time with and around our dogs
- Walking the dogs & a bit of grooming/brushing
- Preparing freshly cooked meals for our dogs
- Cleaning up after the dogs (poo patrol) and vacuuming every 2nd day (we have a maid so no general cleaning is required, but the dogs shed, so additional vacuuming is needed)
We won't be away all the time so you will have plenty of opportunity to explore the surroundings and do some sightseeing.

We live in picturesque Hout Bay (a suburb of Cape Town) . Hout Bay to us is the most beautiful place in the whole of Cape Town, most entertainment and tourist attractions are within walking distance, the ocean is all around, plus we are surrounded by mountains and dunes, fynbos and forest. It is absolutely beautiful here!
We live in one of Hout Bay's best areas, very safe and secure. The property is 8000sqm in size and has amazing mountain views. We have lots of trees on the property, a large pool, rolling lawns and lots of space allround.
You should love being in nature and with animals.
As we have a large pack of dogs, experiences in dealing with dogs are desirable. Our dogs are part of the family and need to be treated as such, they need a calm and consistent person to lead and guide them.
