About this assignment

Animal lovers interested in visiting the Chester County area who would like the farmhouse experience. We are 45 minutes from Philadelphia, 30 minutes from the Amish Country and 2 hours from New York City. We have 2 adorable dogs, 2 indoor cats, 10 chickens, 1 duck, 3 Dwarf Nigerian goats, a koi pond, and indoor aquarium.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

You will have plenty of time for trips to Philadelphia or the Amish Country, Longwood Gardens, Winterthur, all are within an hours drive. The dogs are 1 year old males and can't be left for more than an 8 hour period. The goats and poultry must be watered and fed twice a day. Care of the cats and fish must be tended to daily. We do have local help if you are taking a long day trip and the dogs need to be let out.

What are the good features of the property and location

The circa 1883 mansard farmhouse is located back off a main road, but within 2 miles of the PA turnpike. The 2 acre property boasts a tennis court, and is surrounded on 2 sides on mostly forested open space. The gardens are pretty, we have a large treehouse the goats like to climb up to. The 3rd floor of the property is a 2 bedroom apartment, which can be used.
