About this sitter

Paul & Karen are shaking up their life once again! We have sold our property with our desire to travel.

We are both younger retired people, we raised three wonderful children who are standing on their own two feet. We have always been hard working all of our lives we have been home owners for over 30 years, fixing, up-grading, selling and purchasing properties to a point where we were able to purchase and develop bare land.

We have had the wonderful experience of designing, building our current home on 10 acres while creating a mini-permaculture farm incorporating many types of plants; fruit trees, vegetables, vineyard’s and hops. Our mini farm provided the good life for us and our dogs, cats, chickens, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl and goats while all living in harmony with each other.

For years Paul coached soccer at club, high school, California North State Olympic Development program and college. We arranged tours throughout the United States and many countries in Europe on a number different occasions with different teams.

Why they want to house sit

Needles to say neither of us are stagnate, we are physically and mentally active people who love to travel with a purpose and believe house sitting has the potential to help fulfill our needs and the needs of property owners. Our goal (no soccer punt) is to travel living with different people and experience life in a natural daily environment.

Their experience

Paul was an Electrician and a Soccer coach. Karen was in court administration, K-8 school teacher and a social worker. We have over 30 years’ experience in home ownership, raising animals and development of properties. Our past experiences and knowledge have given us expertise and pleasure in plant cultivation, construction, building, maintaining, fixing and improvising issues as they arise. We are not procrastinators; we will address any issues in a straight forward positive manner.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are very healthy, dependable, clean, non-smokers, organized, competent, independent, conscientious, self-motivated, very trustworthy and honest. We bring a willingness to perform, ability to adapt to any situation from just a house-sitting job to a circumstance requiring multi-tasking skills in a complex environment. We see our assignments as an opportunity to help you, let you relax while we take care of your home as it was our own.

Great House Sitters - Highly Recommended

Paul and Karen house sat at my home in El Valle de Anton, Panama for about three months and did a great job. I have very high expectations around cleanliness and home maintenance which are difficult to achieve in a remote village in Panama with it's tropical climate. Paul and Karen were in regular communication and maintained the property very well. I appreciated how quick they were to respond to any issues that arose. Paul is very handy and easily tackled many small repairs. During their stay they also used my vehicle and I returned to find the house and car clean and ready. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
