Volunteer House Sitter Opportunity in Arenosa fishing and swimming paradise, PANAMA

Peaceful lakefront paradise one hour from bustling Panama City and seaside beaches, with 1 fantastic dog, Lily (spayed and very friendly house dog)

We are looking for a person/couple who's interested in looking after a nice 3 bedroom house on a beautiful property on the edge of Lake Gatun (the largest lake in Panama), in the quaint fishing village of Arenosa. You will have your own suite with on Suite bathroom and private terrace with a 180 degree view of the lake. There is over five hundred feet of waterfront with safe swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding and fishing (best fresh water bass fishing in Central America) off a floating dock, covered lakeside promenade and outside kitchen and barbeque, as well as an over the water one bedroom suite and large covered deck.

The 2 amazing smallish house dogs to be cared for are five years old, in excellent health and spayed, loveable but protective of you, the house and property as appropriate. They need to be fed twice a day, but neighbours and friends can fill in on days off.

A maintenance person will come on the property as required for major repairs.

There are coconuts, bananas, limes, grapefruit, plantains, avocados, and mangoes on the property. There are many types of birds (including parakeets, hummingbirds, and several types of hawks here as well. Your primary duties include:

1) Keeping the house and property clean, secure and routine maintenance
2) Feeding and taking care of the dogs

When you respond, please include the answers to the following 4 questions:

1) Are you able to be in Panama (Panama City area) for sometime around or before the end of april or before

2) Are you willing to commit to staying for at least 6 months?

3) Do you speak any Spanish, and if so, what would you say your level is?

4) Who exactly would be coming? (i.e. name, age, nationality, and relationship status if applicable, as well as your experience and skills)
e.g. Jack Turner, 27, Australian and Nathalie Gaultier, 26, Belgian, dating 2.5 years, Jack loves gardening with experience in construction and Nathalie is an artist, has worked in hotels and enjoys working with people. Both of us have limited fluency in Spanish and German

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Your primary duties include:

1) Keeping the house and property clean, secure and routine maintenance
2) Feeding and taking care of the dog
3) watering the plants and fruit trees when necessary
4) keeping the grass etc by weedwacking approx every 2 weeks

What are the good features of the property and location

This property is a little piece of paradise, off the beaten path on a very large fresh water lake in Panama. We are located approx 90 minutes from Panama city.
You will have your own suite with on Suite bathroom and private terrace with a 180 degree view of the lake. There is over five hundred feet of waterfront with safe swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding and fishing (best fresh water bass fishing in Central America) off a floating dock, covered lakeside promenade and outside kitchen and barbeque, as well as an over the water one bedroom suite and large covered deck.
High speed internet is available for a cost of $15.00 per month for max of 4gig..or $75.00 per month for unlimited. This would be required for any streaming or online business etc. There is a 32 inch smart TV, Firestick and DVD player.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

When you respond, please answer the following questions.
1) Are you able to be in Panama no later than April 20? We depart on April 26 and require at least 5 days together before we leave. Earlier would be better if it is possible.

2) Are you willing to commit to staying for at least 5-6 months.

3) DO you speak any Spanish, and if so, what level do you hav3.

4) Who exactly will be coming? (I.e, name, age, nationality and relationship status, as well as experience and skills.
E.G. Jack Turner, 27 Australian and Mary Smith, 26, Canadian, dat I g 2 years, Jack loves gardening and has experience in construction and Mary is artist with experience with animals and landscaping.. Both of us are semi fluent in Spanish..

5) how would you feel about living in a small village with limited external entertainment. Our neighbors are friendly, but we lack any real shopping or entertainment. We have smart TV with high-speed internet and a large variety of books.

6) what is your status in Panama.. ie, are you a resident or visitor. Do you hold a valid drivers license, and is it Panamanian or foreign.

7) Do you have a vehicle.
