About this assignment
An honest, reliable person who loves cats. I have four cats.
My cats are called; Molly, Tiger, Smokey and Cinderella.
Although my cats do go outside they do spend a lot of their at home. I am looking for someone who will be at home mostly with them.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
The Sitter will be required to manager and take care of my house and small garden. The generally daily duties of my fur family (feeding, Smokey has daily medication, cuddling etc).
What are the good features of the property and location
My house is modern, spacious and well equipped. Located within walking distance of shops and beach. Gated secure complex with 3 swimming pools in Publeo Laguna, Las Buganvillas, Vera.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Not a lot, just to enjoy a simple life with my cats and local attractions. To be physically able to carry out animal care and general household chores.
Can I bring my own pets?

An Ace Sit!!
I had a wonderful memorable 8 week sit in the beautiful Almeria area of Spain with four gorgeous lovable cats each with their own unique personality and adorable Luna the sweetest little dog. All rescue pets obviously,loved and cherished by their Mum Linda as it reflected in the affectation they shared with me. Linda had the warmest welcome for me. Picking me up from the local bus station taking me to her beautiful home,settling me in. Giving me detailed information about her 5 fur babies...their feeding routines, habits and needs. We kept in touch constantly while Linda was away which was reassuring for both parties. Linda has rebooked me for Christmas and New year. I am so looking forward to seeing Luna,Smokey,Tiger,Molly and Cinderella again spending more time with them is a bonus and of course meeting up with Linda as now consider her a new friend. Yes it was a very happy memorable sit.

Unique experience in warm and loving home with lots of animals
We have been house sitting at Linda’s for two months and have really enjoyed this unique experience. Linda is warm and very kindhearted. You can tell not only by Linda, but by the animals and the house itself that it’s a loving and warm place to stay. Very cool about the house is that it feels very rural but actually is only a 10 min walk from the town Turre! During our house sit we took care of two horses, ten dogs and twelve cats. Sometimes it’s a lot of work and needy as the animals are, you will spend a lot of extra time cuddling, petting and playing with all of them. Walking the dogs is amazing. The area around Linda’s house is beautiful and the view up to the mountains is breathtaking. Walking around with ten happy dogs is definitely good for your mood and we felt very energetic and happy after each walk, it is rewarding to see them so grateful! Also in the yard they are sweet playing constantly and really being a pack of dogs happy and friends all together. The two horses, Tiberio and Poo are super sweet and taking care of them was fairly easy because of the additional support Linda had arranged for us. Three times a week caretaker Fiona would groom the horses and make sure they would get there exercise (both of us do not know how to ride a horse). Because of this, taking care meant cleaning the stable and walk them in- or outside each morning and evening. Tiberio is a kind hearted giant who loves carrots and a brush. We found out that little naughty Poo has a strong will, but is very clever and fun to walk together with the dogs while Fiona would ride Tiberio. The twelve cats (and counting haha) are super sweet and come to you for attention as soon as you walk to the cat side of the property. They all sleep with the horses in the hay supply stack, so taking care of them means giving them food and water every morning and evening. Most of them are very used to people so they come to play and cuddle. Sometimes stray cats will come as well and I think because of this the number of cats is slowly growing. All the actual work together is approximately one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening if you house sit as a couple. By this we mean feeding the animals and cleaning the stables and property. Cuddle, walking and playtime is up to you off course ;) We would definitely recommend people to house sit at Linda’s. The experience is really fun and we think unique as well. All the animals will give a big amount of love and the area is beautiful. We did nice hikes, the beach it super close (15 min drive), the villages around the area are super Spanish and full with great restaurants and nice things to explore. Every Friday there is a nice market with a lot of good and freh food to stock up for the week (only a 10 min walk). It's fairly cheap to get around in this area. For not more than 10 Euros you buy yourself a big bag of vegetables enough to last us a whole week! (we are very hungry people and eat a lot haha!) At the property itself there are two nice areas to sit and enjoy the good weather, the nice smell of herbs like rosemary and thyme (that grows all around the area), and the mountain views. If you are in the dog area the dogs will eventually lay down next to your chair enjoying your company. The other area is where the cats are and they also will relax with you. We are happy that we have met Linda and all her adorable animals. Leaving was a sad moment for us. We look back with very good memories and great stories to tell, Many thanks Linda!
