About this assignment

We are seeking experienced house sitters for a 6-month assignment in the beautiful department of le Gers, Gascony, SW France from July 2022 for a period to be determined, around 6 months.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The main responsibility for this assignment will be to act as live-in guardians for our property, keeping the place spick and span and maintaining the gardens - green fingers and a willingness to weed and muck in are prerequisites!

What are the good features of the property and location

Our property sits within its own land (10 acres). We are situated in the heart of Gascony (Armagnac), just 5km from the medieval bastide of Montréal du Gers and between the market towns of Condom and Eauze.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Your own vehicle is essential as we are 5km from the nearest village. A grasp of the French language would be useful but is not essential. You will need to be healthy, active and self-sufficient i.e. cutting of logs for log-burners.
