About this assignment

Someone who likes living near the beach in an old house surrounded by a large deck, with an open fireplace and a large wild garden.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feed and walk a friendly greyhound and two old Siamese cats, look after 4 bantam hens and two guinea pigs, keep the garden watered when necessary, enjoy the coastal ambience.

What are the good features of the property and location

A quiet friendly street, 15 minutes walk to the beach or 3 minutes in a car. House originally built in 1951 by famous Aussie comedian Joffa Ellen. Lovely large open fire. Large rambling garden. Lots of birds. Comfortable deck surrounds the house. Bath with spa jets.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The back of the house is chilly in the winter as the house is not insulated so going to the loo at night can be cold. Panda the dog is walked three times a week by a young friend but appreciates a daily walk around the block. Cooking is by gas. There is a dishwasher.
