Bella, a neutered female short-haired black cat, aged 7 yrs. Not very brave and may need defending against neighbouring feline bullies!
I am looking for a couple who are responsible caring cat lovers to look after Bella, a black neutered female cat aged 9 years and Indie, 12 yr. old speyed ginger female and garden for around two weeks from 30th August 2025. Bella is a re-homed cat who came to me in March 2022 and, for whatever reason, seems to be scared of men. The second cat is Indie, a speyed long-haired ginger female who decided to move house from next door when the family acquired a bossy grey cat. So I am looking for a couple to look after Bella and Indie whilst I am in London for a tenancy changeover and catching up with friends and family.
A handful of biscuits, a mouse-sized spoon of tinned catmeat for Bella and Indie twice a day (if only humans were so easy to feed and so grateful at mealtimes!). Oh, and water the flowerpots every day or so and the garden a couple of times a week (we are having our usual very hot, dry summer).
A comfortable single storey traditional house with wooden shutters and two double bedrooms, one with ensuite bathroom with shower and deep tub, the other with a wet room shower and both with view down the back garden with formal cypress and olive trees. The house has electric hot air central heating/air conditioning throughout and a wood-burner stove in the living room and a plentiful supply of logs. The house, with 2,000sq.m. garden of flat terraces around the house, is in a quiet residential area 1.5km from the village with its church, mairie, post office (with ATM), a surgery with two doctors, physiotherapists, nurses and one osteopath, a vetinerary surgery, pharmacy, bakery, butcher, four restaurants and a bar.
The village is about 35km north of St. Tropez so not far along the A8 autoroute from Nice, Cannes and Aix-en-Provence for a quick taste of pavements, street lamps and retail therapy when back-country life palls.
There is reliable broadband internet and free telephone calls worldwide except Dubai and overseas mobiles, plus free calls to French mobiles in France.
You will need a reference, police check, photo and current driving licence for France as the location is rural - and own transport is necessary.
No, sorry.

Jazz in Provence
Sue and her cat Jazz are lovely, they will welcome you and make you feel comfortable from the very first moment. During my stay I had some car problems and Sue was very helpful giving me all the useful informations. She also kindly agreed that I could stay longer in her house if necessity. I had a wonderful time and many conversations with Jazz :-) Very sweet little cat!!
