We have (3) small dogs. A very friendly Shih-Tzu called Sofie, a sweet rescue Silky Terrier called Cody and a recent additional member of our family, Dolly, a Maltese. They all like to go walks (except Cody) and eat mostly dry food throughout the day. Sofie and Dolly love meeting people. Her little tail starts wagging! Cody, being older prefers to keep his distance with strangers until he has fully assessed the situation! Then he warms up. It’s a “rescue” thing.
We prefer a dog-loving couple to care for them and our home while we are away. We live close to Seal Beach and one can easily walk to restaurants, grocery stores and the beach. A truly great location to visit!
We live in a single family home in a gated community close to the water. There is a wonderful park just down the street with tennis courts. We have a community pool and jacuzzi, automatic watering of our landscaping, except for one or two pots which need to be hand-watered.
Sofie, Cody and Dolly can be left alone for up to 4-hours from time to time, providing they have been fed, had a walk and have plenty of fresh water to drink.
No, sorry.

A repeat of a fabulous time in California
Lauren and I repeated a house sit for two wonderful dogs. We stayed in Terry and Patrick's home exactly a year ago. They are stellar hosts. The home is pristine, in a wonderful neighborhood, and is walkable to restaurants and movie theaters. It never rains in Southern California .... so they say ... you can walk to the beach (40 minutes), paddle boarding and kayaking. The fact that we repeated this assignment and can't wait to return says it all! David and Lauren Miami, Florida

A fine home with amazing hosts.
Terry and Patrick have two little dogs, Cody and Sophie, that are low key and affectionate. We couldn't resist falling in love with them. Upon our arrival we were greeted with kindness and immediately felt comfortable in the home. Terry and Patrick took us for a tour around Long Beach and wanted to make sure that we took advantage of what Long Beach has to offer. There is definitely enough to experience locally. It is not necessary to venture far to have a great time. Excellent restaurants and outdoor activities are all close. They offered us bicycles and beach chairs along with a wagon which made it easy for us to walk to an outdoor concert and experience different beaches. I suggest trying paddle boarding through the Naples canals and exploring the bike path that begins just behind the house. We had one of our best vacations staying in their home and we hope to return. If you are devoted to taking care of the dogs and respectful, this house could be just what you are looking for. Lauren and David Light Miami, Florida

Review of Patrick & Terry Russell
We had the privilege of watching Patrick & Terry's two little adorable dogs at their beautiful home in Long Beach, CA area. The dogs are a lot of fun, behaved well, and have a ton of personality. The house was clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. The location is also great with many great areas close by - Seal Beach, Naples Island. Patrick & Terry had everything extremely well organized with detailed instructions and information. We would definitely do it again in the future. Thanks, Chris & Cindy Wolfe

Beautiful house and area, wonderful dogs, lovely people
House and dog-sitting for Patrick and Terry was a pleasure. They were accommodating and helpful. They had us visit a night or two before our sit to show us where everything was and left incredibly detailed instructions for what to do and when. We walked the dogs twice a day and gave some medication as spelled out in the notes. While on their trip, Patrick and Terry checked-in regularly and we were happy to provide updates on the dogs’ wellbeing. Patrick and Terry also gave us a wonderful recommendation for a local restaurant with Lebanese cuisine. We would happily sit for Patrick and Terry again.
