Akira is 2 years old, well behaved, very friendly, and energetic.
We are looking for a responsible couple or family to take good care of our dog Akira, our cat Toepfli, the fish in the pond, the house, terrariums and the garden. Akira is very easy to handle, and particularly enjoys an early morning and/or a late afternoon walk and play along the river or so. Toepfli also enjoys very much being around humans and Akira, and is usually patiently waiting for food in the morning. The fish in the pond require little special care other than food once a day.
The terrariums might need a bit of misting every now and then, and the garden some watering, if there is no rain for a few days.
The main tasks for our house sitters include to be around, walk Akira twice a day, feed the cat and fish once or twice a day, and water the plants in the garden and the terrariums every now and then.
At our green and quiet oasis - a Balinese style house with a big garden in Vientiane - our German Shepard dog Akira and Töpfli the cat are an important part of the setting. Both are very friendly and affectionate, and get along very well with each other.
The house is a few minutes drive from the center of the capital city of Laos, Vientiane, with a large garden, making it a quiet pleasant place for individuals, couples, and families alike.
Vientiane itself is a rather small capital city, which offers a lot of cultural sites, and restaurants from all over the world.
Akira is used to go out to areas where she does not need to be kept on the leash. To go out for the daily walks with Akira, a short drive by car or motorbike to the riverside is required.
No, sorry.

Oasis in Laos
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Michaels' home in Vientiane. From the moment the decision was made until he dropped us off at the airport at the end, Michael was friendly, generous and communicative. His home is well situated and equipped with everything we could possibly need for the 7 weeks we stayed and was an oasis of green in the midst of the city. The 2 dogs were a breeze to care for and Topfli the cat was even easier! We had a great time exploring Vientiane and nearby Laos and are extremely greatful for his giving us the oppertunity to visit.

Perfect house sit
We loved our housesit in Vientiane at Michael's family home. Michael was very welcoming and friendly, from picking us up at the station to ensuring we felt at ease in his home. He had a perfect balance of detailed instructions with an unfazed attitude as the little things arose. He gave us thorough guidance for staying in Vientiane in both correspondence prior to the sit and when we arrived, as we were shown around the city. Michael's pets are incredibly lovable. His 4 dogs are very well behaved and cuddly but also happy to potter about the garden doing their own thing. It was a pleasure to care for them. His cats were equally cuddly, with a little kitten that was cheekier but just as sweet. A beautiful styled and unique home, with lots of garden space and well equipped. Kung (housekeeper)and Mr Saysavanh (gardener) are very friendly and ensure that the garden and home is well kept. Vientiane itself is a beautiful city. Not too busy, but with plenty to see. Most importantly it has yummy food! Thoroughly recommend this house-sit and pet-loving opportunity x
