Awesome Sitter--Michael Abbate!
Michael watched our home and two cats for 11 days here in New England in the "dead of winter." He was a WONDERFUL partner in keeping everything and each creature safe and sound. He dealt with a snow storm, a brief power outage, the monthly visit from the house cleaner, including the changes in her original schedule, two trips from the plumber fixing two different important issues that had just arisen at the time of my leaving (and the changes in *his* original scheduled visit). He did this WHILE caring for our two cats and their particular routines, habits and preferences. One of the biggest compliments that I can give is that when we arrived home after almost a dozen days away, our cats were behaving as though we had never left. They were calm and happy, and showed no changes in their routines. Michael left the house in impeccable shape, as though he had never been in the space. He was great at communicating before, during, and after the sit, and went out of his way to visit a day before our leaving, given that we had to leave early in the morning on his actual arrival day. He asked good questions on the tour of the house and the greeting of the cats, and I could tell that the cats and our house were in very competent hands. He was well-organized, friendly, and even-tempered, which...again...gave me great confidence in leaving for our trip. I HIGHLY recommend Michael for future housesitting assignments, and would be happy to be in touch if useful, for any more specifics. I hope that we are so fortunate to have our schedules align in the future when we have need for a house sitter. THANK YOU MICHAEL!
