As a freelance web designer and writer, I am lucky enough to be able to work from wherever I currently find myself. My criteria for picking a house sit are really quite wide and varied. A new place, a new pet, new experiences and somewhere quiet and welcoming to plant my head for a few nights.

I am a dual citizen of the UK and the USA.

Why they want to house sit

I am a huge animal lover and find their company infinitely soothing to my soul. There's nothing more enriching to my creative endeavors than discovering new places, new experiences and, of course, new furry friends. This is what first drew me to house-sitting and between 2014 and 2017 I house sat full-time.

Their experience

Between 2014 and 2017 I house sat full-time. I have looked after cats, dogs, fish, chickens, and even a hibernating tortoise in a fridge! On one of my sits, I donned a bee-keepers suit to assist in the care of some bee hives. I looked after two highly charged Jack Russells on the Welsh borders, a beautiful Maine Coon cat in Hampshire, a wonderful terrier in Northern England, three crazy cats in Florida, a neurotic (but very lovable) Australian Cattle Dog in New York and two French cats in London.

I've also tended and maintained some large gardens and a vegetable enclosure, watering daily and feeding the plants as required

I have been around animals all my life and always enjoy their company, while being able to determine each pet's individual needs and boundaries. Time will be set aside for walks, games, cuddles or just that all important belly rub (on demand, of course).

What can they bring to the assignment

Stability, reliability and maturity are what I bring to my assignments. I take the trust placed in me with each and every house-sit very seriously. And since I spend much of my time working, you can be sure I will spend quality time around or with your pets.

You will get updates as often as you like, by the method you prefer. Or I will leave you to enjoy your trip in peace and deal with every eventuality sensibly and confidently. My approach will be tailored to your requirements. And at the end of it all, I’ll make sure your home is returned to you clean, tidy and welcoming.
