We are a professional married couple of 47+ years in our mid+ 60's, being both healthy and fit and easy going and we enjoy the simple pleasures in life.
We love to travel.
Steve is computer competent and holds a clean U.K. driving license.
We are non smoking.
Steve is an Optician specializing in contact lenses, now fully retired.
Why they want to house sit
Steve enjoys sketching, water colour painting and photography.
Jane enjoys solitude although she makes friends easily.
We both enjoy gardening

(2014) Steve and Jane were house sitters for us for several weeks at our home in Florida. It was very reassuring to know our house was being managed by two such responsible, detail oriented, plant and animal loving individuals. They were responsible for general care and maintenance of the house including landscaping of numerous plants, trees and shrubs, and maintenance of a pond. They stayed in contact consistently by email and left the house and gardens in meticulous condition. We have used several house sitters, and the personal care and attention we received from Steve and Jane was above and beyond.
We therefore would like to congratulate, in advance, anyone who has chosen to use Steve and Jane’s services......you will NOT be disappointed. Excellent pet/apartment sitters
Stephen and his wife Jane looked after our cat Nimo and our apartment for 10 x nights. Communication with Stephen & Jane was excellent before, during & after the 'cat sit'. It was obvious from day 1 that they liked cats and Nimo soon 'took to them'. When we returned home the apartment was spotless. We will certainly ask Stephen & Jane to cat/apartment sit again ??????????

Exceptional cat and house sitters
I’ve had people house sit for me nearly as long as I’ve had my 18-year-old cat Muppet and Steve and Jane are two of the very best. They are extremely professional and just the loveliest, friendliest, cat-loving couple you could wish for. Muppet, who is fairly set in her ways, took to them immediately; Jane even bought a little toy which was so thoughtful. The sit was done at quite short notice and Steve and Jane were so easy to communicate with, and flexible about dates and arrival/leaving arrangements which made planning my trip effortless. They sent daily updates and photos while I was away, it was lovely to see Muppet content and enjoying their company. My house was spotlessly clean and tidy when I came home, Steve and Jane had treated it with utmost care and consideration. Muppet had obviously had lots of love and affection, and didn’t mind I’d been away in the slightest. Steve and Jane are so kind and thoughtful, I can’t recommend them highly enough and would welcome them back anytime… as would Muppet! Thank you so much.

Really great cat and house sitters!
Steve and Jane are the most cat loving people I have met and so kind. I think my cats had the equivalent of their own holiday while I was away. Jane made a furry mouse with catnip herself, included in a bag of cat toys especially for Biddy Dumpling and Twinkle Bean. They were completely spoiled. I was sent some lovely photos. Also, I had broken an antique lamp shade just before they came and they spent quite a lot of time looking for possible replacements for me in antique shops and sent me photos of those too. My house was lovely and tidy when I came home. We had very good before and after briefings. It would not be possible to find two better sitters. As other people have said, my cats will miss them. If they could they would probably move to Jane and Steve's house! They did everything I asked. I did not ask for anything to be done in the garden but if I had I know they would have so I ticked that box as well! I could not be better pleased! Thank you so much both.

Newport, Shropshire housesit with Bubble & Squeak
Stephen and Jane are a delightful and friendly couple; very kind and courteous and thoroughly at home looking after the cats. They came bearing gifts for the cats of treats and toys which I know the cats enjoyed and are still enjoying. We were fortunate to have a very good amount of time for a proper handover which I think was appreciated by us both and I was reassured that they knew where everything was to be found and were going to keep to the cats' routine.. Bubble & Squeak seemed to enjoy their company very much indeed and I know got lots of cuddles and love and were properly fed. My house was left in immaculate condition prior to their departure and all the bathroom towels were washed and the home sparkled from the attention they had given it. Stephen and Jane are very highly recommended and I have no hesitation on giving them a glowing testimonial. I hope that they will make a return visit in the not too distant future. Bubble & Squeak are waiting anxiously for their return.

Super couple !
I have no hesitation in highly recommending Steve and Jane for any forthcoming house/pet sits. We recently met Steve and Jane for the first time when they came here to look after our 4 cats. They are very cat oriented and our 4 took to them immediately, I don't think they even noticed we'd gone.!! Jane sent messages each evening, which we'd asked her to do, lovely updates on where they'd visited and how the cats were doing, together with photographs. They treated our house so well and everything was in tip top condition on our return. I actually think Jane is a bit of a "cat whisperer" as our two females were having hissy fits with each other, and surprise, surprise this didn't happen whilst we were away and hasn't happened since we returned. Amazing. We would welcome back Steve and Jane anytime, hope to see them again next year. They are the perfect house guests, warm, friendly, conscientious, timely, chatty and totally trustworthy. Best of all, our cats loved them and were on their knees and getting strokes on the very first day. Perfect.

Jane and Steve are the perfect housesitters. A really lovely couple & very capable. You couldn't wish for a more conscientious couple and you can rest assured that whilst you're away everything will be taken care of beautifully and there will be no cause to worry. They did a superb job caring for our two cats recently, sending photos & texts regularly and when we arrived home the house was like a new pin, very clean & tidy & the borders in the garden all weeded. ! Excellent house and cat sitters
Jane and Stephen are a kind friendly couple, they took great care of my cat and my apartment. They were very loving to my cat and he was very relaxed and comfortable with them. They sent me regular photos and updates while I was away which was reassuring. They left my flat very clean and tidy, even cleaner than when I left! I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a reliable (and super clean) sitter. I would have them back anytime .
