About this sitter

We are an amicable Irish couple in our 40s on sabbatical from March 2013 until the end of the year, having completed a two-year assignment in the Middle East. Looking to spend time away from home for up to a couple of months at a time. Will consider any location in the world, rural or urban. Dog lovers ourselves, we will be happy to care for your domestic pets and will treat your home with respect.

Why they want to house sit

We prefer to get a real flavour of the countries we visit, steering away from the typical tourist track. Also, as we want to spend a longer-than-average time away, we are seeking more homely accommodation. We also miss our pets while we are away and are quite happy to look after yours. Let's face it, a house sit is more financially viable too!

Their experience

This is our first time to consider house sitting, however, we are home owners and have other properties which we rent out ourselves and fully understand your anxieties, needs and concerns, when entrusting your home and loved pets etc. to someone else. We have entrusted our home and pets to our son for the past two years while out in the Middle East.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are non-smokers, very respectable, quiet, but fun loving, dog lovers. Our own dogs will be left in our son's care while we are away. We are responsible and capable of running your home and will mind it as if it were our own. Rod is good at DIY and has been maintaining a number of properties for many years. We are fit and healthy and will happily walk your dogs, maintain your garden, etc.
