About this sitter

We are a mature couple who have had our own house sitters for years and been extremely pleased with them all, but we are now without our little Border Terrier so are turning our outlook to sitting for others. I am a Scot born in Glasgow so love to come back to my roots. We don't mind a remote sit but would prefer not to be within a city. We wouldn't mind just to look after someone's home or small pets.

Why they want to house sit

I don't like hotels at all and as we don't share a room, it can become very expensive to use them. House sitting is is an ideal situation for us and if there's a small dog involved, all the better.

Their experience

We have only done one house sit ourselves so far, which was in the wilds of Scotland (well it wasn't that wild but the roads were pretty bad). I have always has dogs from childhood and they have all been rescues, West Highland White Terrier, Boxer, Heinz 57, Border Terrier and a Polynesian Terrier. I have also been having dogs to stay while their families are on holiday, a Chihuahua, Jack Russell both on a regular basis, a Tabetian Terrier and two others who's origins were unknown.

What can they bring to the assignment

I think the main thing would be love and cuddles and lots of scratching behind the ears. But only if there is a dog involved of course! We would leave a home as we found it, as we have always found ours.
