We would like the house sitter to care for our 10 dogs during the time we are away in November.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The main task is to care for our dogs: feed, clean kennels and socialize with them. Daily walks, one dog each day. , water indoor plants .

What are the good features of the property and location

We offer a separate recently built carriage house, approx. 1,000 sq ft fully furnished with open-plan living room, full kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. There are mountain bikes and a canoe for the sitter to use. The carriage house overlooks a private lake full of trout. There are many trails for biking, hiking, snowshoe and birdwatching. The ranch is remote and over 350 acres. The nearest town is 100Mile House, approx. 20 minutes drive on a dirt road. The ranch is surrounded by crown land and not suitable for anyone looking for nightlife, coffee shops or shopping malls.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The sitter must be on the property when we are away. Utilities (hydro) are separate, you will need to provide your own internet and phone. There is no salary offered.

We are currently looking for a house sitter to start middle of October for 6 weeks. If you wish to stay longer and help run dogs on sled during the Winter, you should be somewhat athletic, in good physical conditon and be prepared for snow.
