What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

To look after the apartments, two very well behaved dogs, to welcome guests in my absence, and to assist in organising the cleaning and running of the apartments.
There will be some basic maintenance, gardening and pool cleaning duties.
It is essential that the role is taken responsibly and that things are looked after as if the property and business belonged to you. I do not expect all of this done for free and I am prepared to pay the right person(s) in addition to providing free accommodation, services and vehicle use.

What are the good features of the property and location

The apartments are in a beautiful rural location in a small working village named Cumieira which is in the region of Penela. They are all very recently converted and in first class condition.

The location is ideal for exploring all that this part of Portugal has to offer and is very close to the 1C3,1C8,1C2 and A1 road networks. There are main train Stations at Coimbra B and Pombal within a 30 minute drive. Some of the best beaches on Portugal's west coast are less than an hours drive away. What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Because of my Wife's recent poor health I am having to spend more time in the UK than I would wish. This also requires me to commute between the two countries more than I would like.
Essentially, I have two choices:
One close the business down for a while, take my pets back to the UK and simply pay someone to cover the garden and pool maintenance (most of the gardens and all of the lawn have an automatic watering system) or obtain someone to help in looking after things in the periods that I would not be around.

At this time of the year there are very few guests and so it is relatively easy to look after things. But hopefully we will get a number of bookings in the months ahead. This means that in order to maintain the existing high standards that we offer, there will be times when you will be required to work hard.

Also it is of paramount importance that my two dogs are well cared for with regular walks and swims and washing and grooming.
