Someone who loves animals, is trustworthy, reliable and flexible with their scheduling. References would be required. We are non-smokers; therefore, we would want the sitter to be a non-smoker as well.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

While maintaining the house, you will need to care for and feed 3 dogs (1 lab, 1 Bichon Friese and 1 Shitzu) two cats (very shy) and 1 small Senegal Parrot (very talkative). In season, the lawn would need to be mowed 1-2 times per week, and clean up after the dogs prior to mowing. Trash would need to be moved to the curb once per week and basic housekeeping duties performed.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in a well established older, upper middle class neighborhood in the suburbs that is conveniently located near grocery stores, malls, restaurants while maintaining a rural feeling. We have deer that wander our neighborhood at will. The backyard is fenced to allow the dogs room to run without the need to take them for a walk on a leash. There is a small park within walking distance that has well maintained tennis courts for your use.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We do not require that anyone stay at the house 24/7; however, the dogs should be kept as close as possible on their eat and sleep schedule. There are no health issues with any of the pets.
