About this assignment

I travel rather frequently, and am often looking for a reliable house and pet sitter. My trips typically range in duration from 3 days to 3 weeks. I am currently in need of a house and pet sitter for June 12 through July 1. I live in a quiet, semi-rural, "green" community in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area of North Carolina. My cats, Domino and Chloe, are easy to care for and friendly. Their outdoor space is fenced in, and they use a cat flap to get in and out. They also have access to a screened-in porch, so the primarily responsibilities are feeding them and providing them some companionship. Most important -- you should LOVE CATS.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Keep the house tidy; ensure that Domino and Chloe are well cared for. No smokers, please, and no other animals. Since I work from home, the cats are accustomed to someone being here most of the time, so I am looking for someone who would like some quiet time at home as well as time for exploring the area.

What are the good features of the property and location

I have a 2-story home that is modest but very comfortable. There are walking trails and a pond in the community. I am about an hour from Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, where are there plenty of shops, restaurants and diversions. I have Wi-Fi but very limited TV.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

should LOVE CATS; should enjoy a semi-rural location; should expect to spend a fair amount of time at my home; no smoking.
