About this assignment

We are looking for capable person who can operate our B&B whilst we take a long earned break. Our B&B has 3 guest rooms, a large dining area suitable for up to 40 persons, and 2 guest lounges. We live on 3 acres of land, with lots of vegie gardens, chickens and a small Maltese Schitzu called Paris who will love anyone to death.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Managing the property - providing service to the guests (including cooking breakfast, cleaning their rooms, advising them on things to do in the area)
Maintaining the grounds, including the lawns and gardens
Taking bookings for guests whilst we are away
Welcoming guests that might arrive unbooked, and accommodating them if rooms are vacant

What are the good features of the property and location

We are located on the edge of Port Sorell, which is a fast growing area on the North West coast of Tasmania. the climate is great, there are plenty of fresh food sources, as well as fishing, beaches and great walks and scenery in the area.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We are looking for those who are good with people, who can cook a reasonable breakfast, are experienced in maintaining our grounds, and above all, look after our chickens and particularly Paris.

We also have cooking classes in our commercial sized kitchen, so if potential sitters are good cooks and/or chefs, they might even use the opportunity to run a few simple classes and or functions, to earn extra income while they are sitting the property.
