June 2-7 House Sitter Wanted- Two Bedroom Bungalow- 2 Dogs, Garden

About this assignment

I am currently looking for sitters for the following dates:

2 bedroom, 1 bath:

I am looking for an individual who can care for my 2 year old cattle dog, and 13 year old hound. I also have some house plants and a garden that would need to be checked on and watered if the visit was to occur during the summer months.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feeding the dogs twice a day

Crating the small dog while you are away

Letting the dogs out to play periodically through the day (fenced in backyard)

Checking on house plants and watering them about once per week

Watering the garden during the spring and summer months.

Coordinating with Vet for emergencies if needed (my card will be on file with them)

What are the good features of the property and location

Hillsborough, NC is located north of the Raleigh/Durham "Triangle" area in North Carolina. It is both a biotech and research academia hub, bringing lots to explore in the way of museums, breweries, restaurants, gardens and hobby farms.

Hillsborough has historical significance in the south of the United States as it was once the capitol of NC and played a significant role in the revolutionary war. The town has kept this history alive, as well as the Native American history that preceded the war. Active archeological digs can be found along the banks of the Eno River, where walking trails will take you from Occoneechee Mountain to an old Nascar speedway, allowing for scenic hikes.

Hillsborough is also known for it's local artists community. Live music runs Thursday through Saturday at a variety of pubs and it is not uncommon to see pop up art installations, poetry readings and open mike nights.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Please consider that the space is relaxing but small. This house is perfect for an individual or a couple but would not suit a family. The dogs are also not used to being around children and that would not be a suitable arrangement.
