About this assignment

Our house sitter(s) should be responsible, reliable, clean, and non-smoker. Our place is about 15 minutes out of town, so having a drivers licence is preferred.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Our house sitter(s) will be responsible to maintain the house and keep it clean, look after the animals, walk the dog twice a day, milk the goats twice a day and bottle feed the baby goats.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are close to the mountains, with nice views and plenty of outdoor opportunities. You can start hiking right from our place. Smithers is a small town that has a lot to offer.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You don't need to have experience with goat milking, but you need to be comfortable around the animals and willing to learn. We are living rural, so it's not unusual to see deer, moose or the occasional black bear. There is some flexibility with the dates, e.g. getting here earlier or staying a few more days longer, because we do have a guest room.
