Mauritius - beautiful location, house/pet sitting

About this assignment

Someone who can be around to look after our three friendly dogs and one cat. That's all really! The person/people should be available everyday to let the dogs out and feed all the animals. To send photos of the animals to us to keep us updated.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Just to follow the animals normal routine (more or less). The dogs sleep inside but need to be let out into the garden fairly early every morning for toilet. They eat in the evenings only. They enjoy a walk. The garden is quite large so a walk everyday is not expected but a few times a week is ideal. Two younger dogs are full of energy and one older dog likes to sleep and chill. The older dog has some medication which he happily eats mixed in with his food. The cat is an outdoor cat and has biscuits left out all day but he also enjoys some wet food in the morning.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live on a tropical island! Beautiful beaches and weather. We live a 5 min drive from a lovely beach (but not great for swimming) and within 10- 20mins from a range of other beaches good for swimming.

There is a small supermarket within a 5min drive.

If you are interested in bars and nightlife we are only 20mins away from a busier town with lots of options.

We have a nice garden, pool and bbq area. The house is modern and clean.

Car available for use if you have a clean licence.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We are actually leaving on the 5th July, but would appreciate it if you could come a day or two earlier to become familiar with the dogs routine.

You should like cats and dogs!

You might need to check if you need a tourist visa depending on where you are coming from (there are literally only 15 or so countries from which a visa is required)

You can have use of my car so a clean driving licence is important, since we do live a little distance from the busier areas.

Check the price of air tickets before applying as they can be pricey.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
