2 Lovely Dogs and a Cat in Central Lisbon

About this assignment

We’re looking for a responsible sitter who can manage our rescue dogs and cat. Experience with Malinois or GSD’s is critical. Dogs need regular walks and on-going care, so this is not a vacation getaway, but the love and attention you get will be worthwhile! Both dogs have suffered some past trauma, so you need to be both compassionate and strong.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Regular dog walks and feedings. Cat gets fed twice a day and litter needs to be cleaned/changed. There are a few plants, but the apartment itself is pretty easy to manage.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are in a beautiful area of Central Lisbon, close to public transit and walkable to many attractions. Quiet block, ground floor apartment, with a nice patio out back. There is no street parking available but no need for a car here!

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The maximum time the dogs can be left alone is 3-4 hours, and the small one needs walks at least once every 4 hours during the daytime. The Malinois is still dealing with some residual trauma from her days as a stray and can only be managed by very experienced sitters as she is quite strong and sometimes reactive. Vegetarian household, strictly no smoking, including on patio.
