Cat likes company, rather spoilt and talkative.
Large house South of the Thames with garden needs a sympathetic house sitter. Could suit someone who just needs a spell in London, for meetings or a homeworker who needs a change of scene and a green space to spend time in.
This is a barter arrangement we do not pay.
Non smoker would be ideal but can discuss, as we have a large garden.
We are convenient for bus and tube. PLEASE NOTE: We always interview and meet 'in person' before any house sitting, and Skype/Zoom is not the same as face to face. Ideally do NOT apply unless you can come to meet us first in London.
We can do zoom if we are desperate but need to see and speak to any excellent references
Look after one demanding, spoilt cat . Ideally someone who works from home or won’t be out all day as cat is happier with company.
During summer months watering the garden. Keen to keep our garden alive so this is important.
1 tortoise, needs food washed and cut up. Any hand feeding much appreciated by him.
Close to tube and bus links at end of road, spacious house with lovely private garden and Wifi. Easy access to West End and or Victoria/Chelsea.
Walkable to the Thames.
Nearest tube The Oval.
Responsible sitter with references required. please note this is a barter arrangement and no money changes hands, plus we generally and ideally prefer to interview in person first.
No, sorry.

An Unforgettable House Sitting Experience
I recently had the privilege of house sitting for Christine and David, and I must say that my experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment I stepped into their unique and beautiful house, I knew I was in for something special. One of the highlights of my stay was the delightful company of Rajah, his charming and talkative companion. We had the most amusing "conversations," and I couldn't resist spoiling him with cuddles whenever he desired (which was almost always). Feeding Slow, another resident of the house, was a daily reminder of the incredible wonders of nature. It was a rewarding experience that urged me to slow down and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us every day. However, it wasn't just the house and the pets that made this experience extraordinary. Due to a flight delay, I had the opportunity to spend more time with Christine and David. Their generosity, kindness, and warm welcome left a lasting impression on me. In a world where genuine hospitality is increasingly rare, their genuine and caring nature stood out. I would eagerly jump at the chance to house sit for them again in the future. Thank you for an incredible experience!

Memorable House Sits for Wonderful Hosts
My first ever house sit was for Christine and David in May and they set the bar high for my house sits that followed. I arrived the night before they departed and they had prepared a lovely supper. They are interested and interesting people to be around. Rajah is a very friendly cat, be prepared for him to curl up on your lap. It's fun hand feeding Slow, the tortoise too. The location is great, near Central London with a nice park across the road, interesting neighbourhoods, and a range of supermarkets to choose from. I have house sat for them on a number of occasions and would not hesitate to go back again in the future.

A magical time travel-like experience
Let me start by saying that Christine and David are a pleasure to be around although we spent little time together. They treated me to a supper before departing and I had a jolly time. The house is magical, full of love, care and memories. You'll feel like you've gone back in time. The animals are a delight and very easy to take care of. The area is perfect, quiet yet close to the centre of London. Honestly, it was the most wonderful experience and I hope to stay again. Thank you so much.

A wonderful sit
My boyfriend and I housesat for Christine and David over the summer and couldn't recommend it more or thank them more for their hospitality. Their home is incredibly beautiful - like something out of a film set - but is comfortable and very liveable. But by far the best part is looking after the animals - Raj is a great cat, he's very chatty and cuddly and is lovely to be around, the chickens are fun and Slow is a great addition to the garden. It's a lot of fun feeding him too. Christine and David are so kind and generous, We really enjoyed our time staying at their home and we're sorry we couldn't sit for them again on this occasion!

Wonderful stay
My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of house and pet sitting this wonderful property for over a month in summer. The owners are very friendly and accommodating and happy to help with questions you may have whilst they are away. They have a beautiful home in a great central spot. We had no issues with the pets, their cat is gorgeous and has a lovely personality and tending to the chickens and tortoise was fine. We have fond memories of our time there and will always remember this wonderful house sit.
