About this assignment

We are looking for a early retired couple, both active, responsible, tidy and flexible, he is a real handy man and she likes to assist us every morning in our own house. Both assist in our animal sanctuary, a charitable organisation, in everyday activities.

Long-term period!

Both must be really animal and nature lovers, as we have dogs, cats, horses, cows, chickens, ducks, pigs etc etc.

As payment, we can offer you to live for free in a beautiful house, just renovated, with a fabulous view and nice garden in Montcaret village (Dordogne, France)

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Responsibilities:

To take care of the house and garden as if it is your own, must be tidy every day.

Responsibilities with regard to the work around the house and at the sanctuary will be part of a contract.

 

What are the good features of the property and location

Property is a lovely house built on foundations of a old farmhouse, freestanding, garden, and fabulous views.

Montcaret is 15 km east of Saint Emilion, 1hour to Bordeaux, 30 min. to Bergerac. Train connection in Libourne 10 minutes away.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Assignment is for 1 year, renewable afterwards, so you need to consider that what we offer is for a long period, to live and work in beautiful France. In return for the work we can offer a house to stay in for free. You work for your housing expenses/rent + utilities.

You will be in environment of vineyards working for and around animals.
