What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The sitters' main responsibilities are to feed and walk Sheba and Barkley, bring in the mail and Amazon packages, keep the house tidy, and generally keep an eye on things. The dogs get 3 walks a day (morning, mid-day and evening) and Barkley gets medication with his dinner. They are best friends, super sweet, and low-maintenance. However, sitters should be aware that Barkley bit a family friend a couple years ago when she accidentally twisted his leg the wrong way while playing with him. So to be on the safe side, we ask that sitters do not massage/scratch/cuddle/roughhouse with Barkley, and do not allow any young children to play with him.

What are the good features of the property and location

City near Stanford University and within driving distance of San Francisco. can walk to downtown shopping and restaurants. Several nice parks in the area. Immediate community is completely flat, so easy to get around.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

While emergency situations of course can arise, please be very certain-- short of an emergency-- that you can be here for the dates we have posted. We have very scarce time for travel because our son is severely disabled and requires so much of our time throughout the rest of the year that we do not often get away,
