About this sitter
Our hopes are to combine our current local client list with some international travel by spending a few months in other countries every year. We are respectful, quiet, neat, reliable, down-to-earth, non-smoking folks who enjoy the simple things in life. Things like the companionship of animals, taking walks, exploring local cultures and communities, cooking, puttering in gardens , reading and planning our next adventure. We will give your pets special care and affection, plenty of exercise and play time, take care of any special needs, and keep the house clean, tidy and secure and plants watered.
Why they want to house sit
We are retirees (63) and we available for pet and house sitting on and beyond Vancouver Island. Pets have been important in our family life and since we are in the travel mode, we find our pet enjoyment in taking care of other people's pets in their homes. Our preferred travel adventure is to experience the local community by being part of the community and experience the culture and people in a neighborhood.

What can they bring to the assignment
As experience house sitters, we abide by the homeowner's wishes on how to manage home and/or pet concerns. We are experienced home, boat and pet owners so we have must experience to draw from to resolve concerns when life happens. Tony has built a house, designed and built boats and is experienced at resolving house challenges. Cindy fostered both cat and dog litters with their mothers from the local animal shelter until the litter were old enough to be offered for adoption. She experienced farm life by helping out on a few different friend's farms during the summer. Our most recent police check is from 2016. We only charge in Canada and even then, depending on the pet-sitting needs of the assignment.

Cindy and Tony were amazing
Wow what can I say. Cindy and Tony were amazing. Whilst we were away we had regular pupdates which were a joy to receive. When we returned home our house was immaculately clean with the bedding changed, everything as we had left it. More importantly our little dog was relaxed and comfortable. Cindy also left us some delicious home made soup in the fridge. What more could we have asked for. After a difficult few months we really needed a relaxing break away and thanks to Cindy and Tony that is exactly what we got and for that we will be eternally grateful. In short a lovely respectful couple who we would totally recommend to anyone wanting to leave their home and pets in their care.

The perfect house sitters
I am delighted that Cindy and Tony sat for us over Christmas and New year, they were the perfect house sitters. We came back to a clean and tidy house, homemade cock-a-leekie soup and a very happy cat - what more could we want? Our communication through text was just the right amount and I felt very confident that everything was in order and being looked after whilst we were away. It was obvious that this was not their first time house sitting and I'm hoping that they will come back again one day and we might even meet in the flesh this time! An excellent experience overall, thanks again!

The place was relatively tidy and clean, considering we were on strict water restrictions for most of the stay. The cats were groomed which I appreciated (except Gia as I knew she might be difficult-one person cat)and fed. Cindy managed to keep my container plants going with dirty water which was a plus. Finally, we were supposed to meet up at the end of the stay but Cindy called to say she was leaving early. My plane was on time so that ended up ok.

Cindy is the perfect house sitter
Cindy is the perfect house sitter. She has a long experience of house sitting and is very knowledgeable of how to make it work well for both the home owner and sitter. She provided us with advice from a sitters perspective, and tips for the future as we plan to do more housesitting next year. Cindy kept in touch before the sit to let us know her travel plans. She checked with us how often we wanted updates, and provided news and pics every few days as requested. We returned to happy cats, a spotless home, and she had even left a delicious dish for us in the fridge to heat up on our return. Highly recommended!

Cindy and Tony were outstanding
Cindy and Tony were outstanding! We had a great call with them so we felt really comfortable leaving Mimosa in their care. They sent us daily updates about Mims. We came home to a very happy cat, a super clean apartment, and even homemade lentil soup in the fridge! Plus, our plants haven't looked this green since they day I brought them home. Consider yourself lucky to have Cindy and Tony care for your pets!

Very pleased
This house/pet sit was the second time with lovely couple Tony and Cindy. We have two cats with very different dietary needs but we feel at ease knowing that instructions are followed to a tee. We came back from our trip to a cleaned house, beautifully maintained flower baskets, freshly mowed lawn and most important, to two cats who were well taken care of during our absence. We are very pleased with this experience and we highly recommend Tony and Cindy. :)

Cindy and Tony did a wonderful job caring for our two cats, Maya and Lexa. This was our first time using a sitter and the anxiety caused by leaving our home and pets was quickly lifted when we met this wonderful couple. Being experienced sitters, Cindy and Tony knew what questions to ask which made us feel at ease. Our youngest, normally very anxious cat, warmed up quickly to them. Cindy did an amazing job
Cindy did an amazing job of caring for our 2 cats and 2 dogs for over 3 weeks as we travelled to New Zealand and Australia! We did a Skype while we were away which was wonderful. Cindy made sure the house was spotless when we returned and even found some clever ideas on how we can care for our 4 boys better, like grooming and feeding methods. Tony and Cindy are excellent house sitters . After the usual anxiety at my leaving home Cindy sent a photo of my cat kitty not usually very friendly,asleep on her chest.Wow all anxiety disappeared. I knew everything would be fine and I wasn’t wrong.All animals were content when I got back and my house all tidy and clean. I couldn’t expect anything else from this lovely couple and would highly recommend them.

Cindy and Tony are the perfect house sitters. They became best friends with our shy cat George very quickly, so much so I don't think he missed us at all. They sent regular detailed updates, pictures and videos. Tony even created some artwork of George and they made him toys! We felt so lucky to have found them and would highly recommend them.

Genuinely caring couple
Cindy and Tony proved to be a great choice for taking care of our two pedigree cats and home in South West France. This was our first experience of using a sitter and Cindy and Tony proved to be great. We came home to happy and relaxed cats and a well-cared for house. All that was required but we also received updates and photos which reassured us that all was well at home. I have no hesitation in recommending Cindy and Tony
Choosing Cindy and Tony as my first sitters was a great decision. From first contact they were helpful and well-organised, talking me through the usual requirements and asking all the right questions. On arrival, they immedately made friends with my dog Oscar and were not at all phased by having to play nurse and give him various medications during the first few days of their sit (and take him back to the vet to have some stitches removed). I left for my 3 week holiday feelng totally reassured that Oscar and the house were in good hands. They contacted me a few times while I was away, sending photos of a happy-looking Oscar and assuring me that all was fine. On my return everything at home was clean and tidy and Oscar was in great shape. The icing on the cake was that C&T even dropped me off at the station at the beginning of my holiday and picked me up again at the end. I have no hesitation in recommending Cindy and Tony as house or pet sitters to anyone. Thank you!

Cindy and Tony were wonderful! Mocha loved them and the house was perfect when we returned. They did lots of extra things, like making baked liver treats for Mocha. They sent us daily reports, walked and groomed Mocha, and even cooked chicken for her! We couldn't have asked for better pet-sitters. Thanks so much, Cindy and Tony!

Wow, what a great couple
Wow, what a great couple. They were so diligent and attentive to our home and dog. Amazingly witty updates on our dog that were a pleasure to read. They are very likeable people and respectful. I would highly recommend them and have them back anytime. Truly a gem if you can get them!
