About this sitter
Hello, we are Bruno (71) and Gail (66) husband and wife. To date we have completed 113 pet/house sits. Bruno sold his cafe business a few years ago now and I had been working in administration for Community Nursing in Australia. We are financially secure, honest, clean living, non smoking very proud home owners and would respect and treat your home as if it was our own. We have two adult daughters and three beautiful grandchildren all living on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Not wanting to miss out on seeing them grow up we also take time out from house sitting in order to spend time with them. Bruno was born in Italy, and brought up in France. He has lived in Australia for many years now and speaks fluent French, Italian & English. I was born in Australia.
We both hold Australian and Italian passports giving us the freedom of movement in Europe.
Why they want to house sit
With housesitting we have found that we are thoroughly enjoying the company of pets and their different personalities. We consider it to be a great privilege as we are being trusted with your lovely home and beloved pets. You can be sure that we will never take this for granted. We appreciate they are precious family members and will treat them as our own providing them with love, comfort, attention and exercise. Housesitting enables us to combine our love for animals and pets with our passion for travel. With house and pet sitting we are interested in living in a community and not just being a drive through tourist.

What can they bring to the assignment
We both come from customer service backgrounds and we feel that this gives us the ability to have a caring, nurturing attitude and an eye for detail. We are able to take decisions and deal with difficulties responsibly when they arise leaving you to be away and have peace of mind. We have had experience in repair and maintenance of properties with also having fully renovated another property that we own. (Apart from making a mean coffee Bruno is very handy)
With house/pet sitting we understand that the care, security and safety of your pets and home are of the utmost importance and we believe in giving 110%. We are also extremely aware and respectful of your privacy within your home.

Bruno and Gail were absolutely amazing
Bruno and Gail were absolutely amazing! From start to finish, they went above and beyond our expectations. We received gorgeous daily photos of Nacho and Cleo, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. When we returned, our home was immaculate, and even the lawns had been mowed, a truly impressive touch! Above all, Bruno and Gail are incredibly caring. It was so clear that Nacho and Cleo were given lots of love, cuddles, and attention throughout their stay. I cannot recommend them highly enough
Bruno and Gail were absolutely amazing!! This is the first time I have used s sitter and it was a perfect experience. They communicated with me regularly from the begining of the sit to the end , sending me updates on the wellbeing of my two cats, Lulu and Stanley. The cats were super relaxed when I got home ..dont think they missed me at at all! They left the house in an immaculate state. I had no concerns at all in leaving my cats and house in the safe hands of Bruno and Gail from the moment I met them. A super self reliant , friendly and flexible couple. I cannot recommend them highly enough! I just hope I meet another ''Bruno and Gail'' for my next housesit..as do Lulu and Stanley!!! Thank you very much!!

You would be lucky to get this nice couple
Bruno and Gail took great care of our many pets and impeccable care of our house and garden. In fact the garden and other areas looked much better than we left it. They were able to win the trust of our fearful rescue dog, and managed the medication and special needs of our elderly dog. Gail kept good communication with me before and during the sit. You would be lucky to get this nice couple to care for your pets.

Welcome back anytime
Bruno and Gail minded our home recently and were nothing short of amazing! No fuss settling in and respected the fact that our property was very low on water. They had an extra hard job as one of my hens was sitting on 8 fertilised eggs. ( luckily they got to see a few hatch before they left) We came home to a spotlessly clean house, healthy plants, healthy chickens and the garden/grass had been raked of all its leaves!!! I would not hesitate to have Bruno and Gail stay in our home again! They are welcome anytime!!

We all miss you
Gail and Bruno, slotted into the lives of our adorable Labradoodles like they were their own. The love and attention they gave to them and to us whilst we were away was exceptional. Every day we received information and photo's of their walks and outings. They even arranged a video where one of our dogs was talking, it was so funny. At the end of their stay they made a slide show and video of all the photo's and video's they had taken. It made our holiday so much easier by knowing what they were doing each day. We missed our teddy bears but receiving the photo's made it so much easier. We loved it. Gail and Bruno are very kind, thoughtful, really special people. On our return from holidays, everything we asked them to do, was done. If any one gets Gail and Bruno to house sit for them, you will be the luckiest people ever. Bruno and Gail took care of our house and English staffy while we were away on a family holiday. Gail and Bruno were wonderful, their correspondance was always very prompt which is something I highly value and their confidence with animals is exceptional. They took terrific care of Buddy and our house while we were away and sent daily updates on our fur baby (without being prompted). I wish all our previous sitters were as delightful and diligent as Bruno and Gail were. We would have them back in a heartbeat and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Would use them in a heart beat
I was called away with work to assist with the Bush Fires in NSW/ACT at short notice with the unknown when l would return. Gail and Bruno were recommended by a close friend and fellow house sitter as potentials and they applied and I had no hesitation in accepting them.Although l have still not returned home, feedback from both my neighbours and the lady currently housesitting have indicated that they have left my home immaculately. Lawns were mown and the garden was well looked after. Constant contact was made between us and they re-assured me that the house was well looked after and for me to take care while l am away.I have no hesitation in both recommending Gail and Bruno to anyone that requires a sitter as well as if they are available l would use them in aheart beat again.Look forward to one day meeting both of them

I absolutely recommend this lovely couple
Its hard to know where to start reviewing Bruno and Gail because there were just so many good things about having them in my home looking after my two Shitsu/Bijon crosses Bonnie and Pepper. This was my first ever house-sitter experience, it was for 2 whole months and ended up being the best decision ever ! Gail and Bruno are so professional and trustworthy, they are the perfect pet/house sitters I reckon. My 'girls' were obviously extremely well looked after , and my house was treated with the utmost respect. It was a real treat to return to such a clean and tidy home, with fresh flowers and fruit and basics in the fridge ! Much better than a house that had been empty for 2 months .. .. I absolutely recommend this lovely couple and hope they will come back some time to look after my girls again too !

Outstanding house sitters
Bruno and Gail were outstanding house sitters and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, honest, hard-working people to take care of their house and pet/s. They initially visited before their due date to meet our pet and to ensure they were familiar with our home and how I wanted things to be cared for in our absence. We have a small B&B and Bruno and Gail even agreed to assume responsibilities for running it for us (during the four weeks we were away, they coordinated 6 separate guest stays), which helped us immensely. They kept in contact on a needs basis throughout the month and we returned home to a very happy Gemma, a spotless house, neat gardens with lawns mowed and edges trimmed, and positive reviews from our B&B guests. What more could you ask for? They were fantastic and Philip and I are extremely grateful for their thoughtfulness and care.

We were able to enjoy our break without worrying
When we posted for house and pet sitters from 18-24 November 2018 we chose Bruno and Gail based on their reviews. We were very happy with our choice as they were excellent in every department. As they were local at the time they came by a week or so before the sit to meet us and our big puppy and have a rundown on our house. Orlagh our dog is a gentle girl but very big so can be intimidating because of her size. They bonded with her straight away especially Bruno who was quite taken with her. They stayed the night before we left as we had a early start and were up when we left for the airport. While we were away we had regular daily contact with updates on our puppy's daily happenings with some pictures of her enjoying her park outings. We were happy to be kept abreast of things. On the eve of our return there were major problems at our airports with many flight cancellations and we became concerned that we might not have a flight for our return. We contacted Bruno and Gail about our dilemma and without any hesitation they said they would stay until we returned which was a relief for us. We did make our flight and returned to a spotless house inside and out, a bowl of fresh fruit and a happy puppy. We were very happy with Bruno and Gail and were able to enjoy our break without worrying about home.

Bruno and Gail are wonderful sitters
Bruno and Gail are wonderful sitters. From our first Skype call to introduce ourselves, I felt very comfortable about leaving our house and pets with them. They communicated well and stayed in touch in the days leading up to the sit. When we met, I knew we’d made the right choice. They are caring and considerate, a lovely couple. Bruno even drove us to the airport, which we really appreciated. Each day we received cute pictures of our happy Labrador and our timid kitty, which reassured us that all was well at home. Bruno and Gail left the house absolutely spotless and left a beautiful bowl of fruit for our return. I would love to have them sit for us again and would recommend them to anyone.

Mature, independent, respectful and attentive
Bruno and Gail were flexible and patient while we waited for confirmation of out of town appointments in order to finalize their dates and this made everything so much easier for me. They had a longterm rental car and were completely independent in all ways and did great on their own without needing any assistance in getting around etc. Our dogs are softies and will sell their soul for a biscuit but our cats that are extremely difficult immediately fell head over heels for Bruno. I appreciated the careful attention that Bruno and Gail paid to any changes in the dogs behavior allowing them to adapt the routines as well as carefully inspecting them for any fleas/ticks. Our home and outdoor living area were spotless and in perfect order and Bruno and Gail offered to do shopping for us if we needed anything and even left us a lovely basket of fresh seasonal fruit from the local market that was just perfect on our return. Bruno and Gail are perfect sitters that are mature, independent, respectful and attentive allowing for total peace of mind for home owners. I would love to have the luxury of Bruno and Gail as sitters again in the future.

The best housesitters we have ever had
Bruno and Gail were the best housesitters we have ever had. Thoughtful and kind, they looked after our dog Max as if he were their own. They kept us informed with weekly emails and photos and left our house in an immaculately spotless condition. We will definitely be asking them again to housesit for us in the future.
