About this sitter
We are a couple of experienced exchangers looking to care for your home, or exchange. We live in Colorado, USA, and we are trying to see as much of the world as possible now that Eileen is retired and are interested in 1--4 week, maybe longer, adventures around the world a couple times each year. We are homeowners, and would care for your home as if it were our own. Eileen is a retired hospice nurse, and Jim is a business owner.
We have four grown children and 9 grandchildren and now we can wander and they get to dream of future travel for themselves.
Why they want to house sit
Living in a home allows us to become part of a community instead of a hotel guest on the outside.

We have had a number of successful exchanges since we discovered this wonderful vacation alternative. We have had pets for many years, but once our children left home we decided to travel and love other peoples' pets.
I have used mindmyhouse often to have someone stay in our home. We have traveled around the world extensively for the past 25 years, and enjoy the adventure of different places and countries.
We have many references from Airbnb’s we have stayed in, and I would be happy to copy those for you.
What can they bring to the assignment
We have always owned our own home, and appreciate the care a home needs. The pictures show our yard. Also we have been pet owners, cats. and a German Shepherd, in the past, and would care well for yours. We will follow your instructions for the care of your home and pets. Owning a business and Nursing teach attention to detail.

Great couple, great house/dog sitter
Eileen and her husband Jim provided excellent care for both our home and our dog in December, during Christmas time. Eileen was very responsible, and attentive, and kept us updated throughout our vacation. Right before we left, our dog was in heat, which added extra cleaning work for them to do, but they still kept our house clean and nice. Jim even fixed a couple of doors for us to make them work better. It was such a relief to know that our dog and house were taken care of by such wonderful and trustworthy people. We highly recommend their services and would gladly hire them again.

Two wonderful people
They obliged early on, while still on vacation in Venice, to visit my home for a long weekend. This gave me great relief to continue planning my getaway. They were prompt and very attentive to my cat. They are a lovely couple; I appreciate them immensely.

Love Eileen & Jim who are repeat pet sitters!
Eileen & Jim pet/house sat for me last year so when I planned a 12-day east coast trip I knew I had to see if they were available. Fortunately, they were so once again I had the pleasure of them flying out to take care of my dog, cat (& wild cardinal pair who adopted me since they were last here!) and home. I am sure my dog & cat remembered them as was obvious by their positive reaction when Eileen & Jim arrived & they all picked up where they left off. I was able to go on my trip with the comfort & confidence I needed to enjoy my vacay without a single worry. As expected, they followed all of my instructions well, sent me pictures of my pets, and when I returned my place was even better than I left it for them. I even introduced them to dear friends of mine on island who are looking for a pet/house sitter themselves - that's how highly I think of Eileen & Jim. Mahalo nui loa (again) Eileen & Jim! Eileen & Jim took wonderful care of my pets!
Eileen & Jim house sat for me and cared for my 11-year old dog and 6-year old cat for 12 days. They did an excellent job! It was so nice to be on vacation and not have to worry that my pets were being well taken care of. My place was just as I left it when I returned & my pets looked happy, & healthy. A big mahalo to Eileen and Jim! I would definitely use them for future pet sits.

Eileen and Jim came to our house on Vieques, Puerto Rico to mind our two 1 year old puppies and of course our house. Because of COVID19 related changes, our first sitter was unable to totally complete his stay here and we were unable to meet Eileen and Jim except by phone before their arrival. They were able to step in and take responsibility for two extremely active(and mostly untrained) puppies. We talked occasionally and they sent us greatly appreciated pictures. We appreciated their thoroughness in taking care of the house and dogs. It is always great to meet great people who value their responsibilities and are able to enjoy what Vieques has to offer.

We highly recommend Eileen and Jim as your future house and petsitters. They have been wonderful to our two cats over the long period of almost 7 weeks. Eileen kept in contact and sent photos. The experience for the two of us couldn't be better and we felt relaxed and safe, knowing the two of them were super reliable, helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, they had to cope with much more rain than usual at that time. We felt sorry for them. But they were happy, enjoying their time in our wonderful caribbean enviroment, were never complaining. Jim has even installed a 240V take out for us : ) ... It was great to meet you both the first two days. We would like to thank you again for your great support and both wish you the very best for your personal future and your future house and pet sittings.
