About this sitter
We are an American couple who have been housesitting 6 months each year, for several years, in the United States and Mexico. The remainder of the year we travel abroad and do some months of volunteer work for NGOs as we go.
I am a former social worker and my husband a former business man in the real estate industry.
Why they want to house sit
At times we are unable to find appropriate volunteer situations and housesitting is an excellent alternative.
Our goal in our travels is to learn and understand the culture of the people and countries we visit.
Their experience
We have extensive experience caring for all size homes, animals, gardens and supervision of household help such as maids, gardeners and repair persons.
We have raised two children, owned several homes and pets, lived in large and small cities as well as suburbs.
What can they bring to the assignment
We bring our experience from professional careers, as house sitters, also as concerned citizens of the world. We have travelled to over 60 countries, many times without knowledge of the country language, often staying for several months. In addition to English, our Spanish is very acceptable, and we have some study and understanding of French

Reliable and responsible
Marcia and Stan stayed with my cat for two weeks, and did an excellent job. My demanding cat took to them right away and was happy and well tended to. Marcia also watered the plants, which I appreciated; they too seemed quite happy. When I returned I was amazed at how clean and tidy they'd left the apartment. It shows how conscientious and responsible they are. They said they have looked after many different animals, including some large outdoor animals. I am very pleased and think other pet owners will also be pleased with them.

Marcia and Stan Klein took excellent care of my dog who is grieving over her lost sibling. They gave her a lot of attention and she perked up in the their care. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a house sitter. The house was clean when I came home and my plants were in great shape and I could not have asked for more pleasant homecoming

The Amazing Kleins, thank you
Stan and Marcia stayed at ours for 3 weeks in Barcelona with our baby dog Lenny while we went on holidays. Before arriving, we met them through skype and kept in touch until they arrived, it was very easy to connect with them. They stayed with us one night and the day after we had to fly. It was lovely to get to know them and it was very reassuring to know Lenny was in his own house with them. When we were away they look after him very well making sure he was eating properly and gave us some news regularly sending us picture and little stories of their day together. They also bought him a little Christmas that he had so much fun to destroy. We can greatly recommend to have Stan and Marcia looking after your animals and your house. They are very reliable, thrustful, helpful and caring. Thank you so much Stan and marcia x
