About this sitter
Thank you for taking the time to review my listing. I'm a former arts and humanities instructor with a Master's in Art Therapy. I have a passion for nature photography and hiking. I love the forest and the stillness it provides. I occasionally conduct public talks called "Lessons on the Trail" that highlight my hiking adventures and nature photography. I prefer housesitting assignments in quiet homes that support contemplation and reflection. I have excellent references that I will provide at your request.
For the majority of my housesits, I've received a travel stipend. I'm willing to negotiate with the homeowner. A travel stipend is optional.

I have many years experience as a house and pet sitter. Cats are my specialty, although I occasionally care for dogs that match my quiet nature. I've met many wonderful cats and dogs of all ages and personalities over the years. I've grown very fond of those I've cared for. My quiet presence seems to calm pets that are timid or anxious.
What can they bring to the assignment
I pay attention to the detail in my environment and make sure things are tidy and in order. I will lovingly care for your home and pets as if they were my own.

Absolutely Fabulous
We were so blessed to find Nancy! She was the most wonderful house sitter and looked after our cat Nala so well. Nala took to her straight away! We happily recommend Nancy for housesitting and catsitting.
Nancy looked after our house while we were away for two months and we returned to find the house just as we left it. Everything was well looked after, including our very high maintenance cat. In fact, he seemed to have gotten along very well with Nancy and was happy as could be. Nancy is very conscientious and she reached out any time there was a potential problem. Reliable, Responsible and Resourceful.
We have been fortunate to have Nancy house sit. She has been extremely reliable and has helped resolve some serious issues such as a broken gas line and a leaking refrigerator water line. We have two cats, a turtle and several house plants to which she has been very attentive. She is also outstanding in keeping the house clean. Nancy has been house setting for us over the last three winters and I’m hoping she will be available to sit for us again next winter. I highly recommend Nancy!
