About this sitter
I am a retired physics teacher and my wife is a retired school-board office worker. We are responsible, thoughtful people who are used to positions of responsibility. We love to travel and are interested in history and meeting people. I am a 'cat person' experienced with all sorts of home maintenance and renovations. My wife is a 'dog person' and is experienced with interior décor, gardening, etc. We are looking for a house-sit of several weeks to months duration. We simply want to make a positive contribution, leave a place as good or better than we found it, and have a great experience.
Why they want to house sit
Our interest is in world travel, history, photography, and dancing. We feel that this is a way to experience other parts of the world while helping out, caring for a property (with or without pets) and meeting people, while nurturing our interests.

What can they bring to the assignment
We are both extremely responsible, and educated. We have the skills that we see are requested of house-sitters. We have completely renovated the house that we own by doing it ourselves. I am trained in science and am mechanically inclined. My wife is a wonderful interior decorator and gardener. We have had pets for many years, both cats and dogs. Our two cats and one dog, which we had for about 17 years, have recently passed away in the last two years. We can definitely care for pets and maintain a property with skill and enthusiasm. We are personable, love to have fun, and are experienced dancers.

Lovely couple
It was a joy hosting Wendy and Larry. They made it very easy to leave my dogs with them as they established an instant rapport with them. They kept in touch whilst I was away and I was able to see the dogs on a video link. The house was lovely to come home to and they left me some goodies in the fridge. Delightful housesitters
It was a real pleasure to return to my home to find this charming friendly couple had really entered into the spirit of the area as well as taking excellent care of my home and precious cat Bubbles. Wendy and Larry are well remembered by the friends they made amongst the local community here. They arrived punctually and departed as we had arranged without problems. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them anyone needing sitters.

Wonderful, experienced house sitter went over and above!
Wendy and Larry were the perfect house sitters for us. They had lots of experience taking care of quirky older homes as well as extensive gardening experience. We were very happy with the updates they gave - especially when several surprise weather events damaged our garden. They went right to work, even splinting some broken tree branches. Wow! When we came back, the house was just as we had left it - they even made sure there was coffee and cream ready for our breakfast. You will not regret working with this charming, fun and interesting couple.

Responsible and Kind
Lawrence and Wendy took care of our house for 2.5 weeks while we traveled internationally. They took good care of our house and cats, and they administered medicine to one of our cats who got sick shortly before we left.They kept in contact to let us know that our cats were doing well and frequently sent us pictures of them so that we wouldn't worry. When we got back, everything was just as clean and tidy (or even cleaner and tidier) than when we left. We'd definitely have them again and definitely recommend them.

Wonderful couple
I cannot recommend Wendy and Larry enough. They are surely among the best sittersI have had in a long list of visitors. Not only did they look superbly after a dog and 2 cats, they returned an immaculate house and a car far cleaner than I had left it..I was amazed. They sent email updates and did all the necessary during a bad storm. I only wish they lived nearer and could do a return visit! Do not hesitate to contact them, your house andpets could not be safer.

Wonderful housesitters
Larry and Wendy were lovely housesitters! They kept in touch throughout in order to give us updates, our flat was very clean when we got back and (most importantly) the cats seemed well and happy. It's a pity that they live so far away as we would happily have them back!
