About this sitter
I am responsible, mature and good humoured and am looking for quiet, rural surroundings. I am keen to extend my knowledge and skills wherever opportunities arise. Writing and teaching are both key elements in my life.
Why they want to house sit
I like travel and animals and love to visit new areas and help out where possible. My interests include horticulture and local history. Clean air is important to me.
Their experience
I have looked after farms, homes and holiday properties throughout Europe for several years now and have many good references. I continue to seek new opportunities and want to travel more widely in future as well as revisiting previous home stays where I have made good friends.

My skills are diverse and include some knowledge of languages (French and German,)
I am a trained first aider with wide supervisory and managerial experience as well as having a range of practical skills and particularly enjoy gardening, outdoor activities and working with animals.

House sit in rural Cornwall
Julian looked after our dog, outdoor cat, ducks and the house for 10 days. He communicated well both before and during the sit and we enjoyed his company. Our dog looked very well on our return and had obviously been well cared for. Julian had thoughtfully prepared a meal to greet us on our return. As it was late autumn there were no outdoor jobs for Julian to tackle.

First class house sitter
Julian proved himself to be very reliable, a really nice, genuine guy and was much loved by our two dogs. He kept us well informed about everything that was going on while we were away and took our two boys everywhere with him when he went out. He kindly brought us some plants which he planted in the garden for us and made sure our garden and house plants were well looked after. Cyprus visit

Responsible house/dog sitter
We were looking for someone to sit for a week while we were away, it was our first experience using mindmyhouse and we didn't know what to expect. Julian was the first person we contacted who was free and despite our general reservations it all worked out well. He looked after our house and two dogs without any problems, his communications were good, he likes to chat though! Despite the short stay he did everything we asked and proved reliable and straightforward.

Julian has looked after our home and pets on 2 occasions. He is caring and diligent and looks after our home like it is his own. He loves the animals and gives them the best possible care. His communication is superb and he provides regular updates during his stay. We couldn't ask for better.

A trustworthy person for your pets
Julian was the ideal petsitter for our pets. He took good care of our 2 dogs and 3 cats. He informed us often about their health and condition. We enjoyed our holidays without worrying! Testimonial for Julian Pickles Hello, My husband and I am are the very proud owners of two cats (Simba and Nala ) and 6 chickens. Some two years ago Julian did his first sat for us and since then he has returned on several occasions. He clearly adores our pets and takes exceedingly good care of them. I can tell when he arrives that the Cats are pleased to see him. My list of cat care duties is quite long and included grooming, socialising, keeping in touch with me whilst i am away, administering medication, but Julian takes it all in his stride. Julian is also good with the chickens.

Fantastic House Sitter
Julian came to look after our home and pets when we were on holiday. Before he came, his communication was excellent and he took the time to find out about our home and pets and to understand our needs. He kept in touch and was flexible about arrival and departure dates and times. When he arrived, he made sure to find out as much as he could in order to make his stay a positive one for all. He sent us regular updates on the animals via text while we were away and it was clear he really enjoyed being with them - a huge plus for us! He took good care of the house and left it as he found it. We couldn't have been happier and would welcome him back.
