About this sitter
Happy, easy-going sitter with plenty of experience in caring for animals, gardens, swimming pools, flats, fincas, cortijos, casitas, and houses. I lead a very healthy, peaceful lifestyle that includes a plant-based diet, plenty of rest, meditation, exercise, and feeling happy. I don’t drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, or party. Spending time in nature, meditation, and deep conversations are the things I love the most. Being active plays an important role too. Spending time with animals provides a lot of pleasure. Travelling is always on the agenda however I do enjoy settling for long periods of time in one place to get to know it from all possible angles. As for my occupation, I have many years of experience in the hospitality industry. I speak English, Spanish and Polish, which is always an advantage as it helps to get settled in quickly in a new place and mingle with the locals. I very much enjoy being in warm climates though colder weather can be super enjoyable too.
Why they want to house sit
Oh, that's easy. There’s always something to learn in every situation and circumstance. My personal growth is the essence of my life. What better way to grow than to meet people from different parts of the world and discuss the all-important matter of existence itself plus everything else of course. That said, I love silence and solitude.
Another advantage would be the ability to spend time with and care for animals. They are always just so happy to be. We can learn a lot from the carefree attitude and unconditional love they offer so effortlessly, and they are plenty of fun at that.
Discovering new places is always a treat. The more rural the better. Self-sustainability is something to strive for therefore I welcome any ways of living, even the most “extreme” ones.

I have been living this way for many years. I traveled with different partners so the names will change in the testimonials/references available here.
I have taken care of pets and houses throughout Europe and South East Asia. The most frequent assignments have been in Southern Europe - Spain and Italy and the Canary Islands. Other places were Malaysia, Thailand, Poland, Sweden, Germany, England, Scotland, and Belgium, to name just a few. The settings have been quite varied too, from city flats, through farms, tropical jungles to rural houses.
I’ve taken care of gardens, anything from watering, weeding, planting, and maintenance is in my skillset. In fact, my passion in life is to grow her own food especially since she only eats plant food.
I know how to maintain a swimming pool, can do minor DIY, painting, etc.
My experience in hospitality will help with any assignments requiring help in caring for potential guests or visitors. I have taken care of a rural house in Southern Spain two winters in a row where some apartments were rented out to holidaymakers.
I have experience in caring for my own pets plus many that have been a part of plenty of wonderful housesits. They are donkeys, horses, fish, a cow, ducks, chickens, rabbits, a hamster, cats, dogs, and birds. They all had different needs of course. I would feed and walk them, spend time and cuddle up if they allowed me to. Some were older and required special attention such as giving medicine, check-ups at the vet. Some were blind and deaf and required to be taken out and brought back in out regularly.
I am a fast learner so if there’s anything extra that you might require, just let us know and I’ll do the appropriate research and training.
What can they bring to the assignment
Judging from my housesitting experience so far, one of the most valuable skills a housesitter can have is excellent communication with the owners. Nothing should ever be assumed. It’s much easier to ask questions rather than leave something that might potentially become a problem - unanswered. Skype, WhatsApp or email accounts can all be used for communication purposes, also before the actual assignment, to discuss any topics you wish to. It’s important to establish a trusting relationship with you and your pets. ;)
I am very flexible and will be able to arrive a day of two earlier to get to know you and the potential pets so that we can all be safe in the knowledge that things will work out just fine and misunderstandings are avoided.
Your home will be properly cared for and your pets will receive a huge amount of love. Guaranteed.
I easily adapt to new surroundings and think on my feet so that problems/emergencies are reacted to and resolved promptly with a large dose of common sense.
I have training in fire safety.
I enjoy going to sleep and waking up fairly early therefore there you can expect no parties whatsoever especially seeing the no drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes policy I go by.
I love tidy, organised spaces and keeping them nice and clean.
I speak many languages as previously mentioned and am very happy to communicate with the locals.
I am active and in a very good physical condition. You can be sure your pets will get a workout if need be.

Flo is such an amazing being! It's delighting just to meet her. It was more than our pleasure to have her beautiful being in our house what she filled with good energy. The cats were loving her immediately and everything was going very easy. We appreciated a lot that she kept us updated with daily fotos of our babies. Even so I wasn't asking her to she asked me if she can take about the plants as well and she was pruning them. She felt very happy and comfortable in our house, what makes as happy as well. Very reliable and enthusiastic house sitter!
Flo house sat for us and looked after our dog Issy. She was a great communicator and gave us lots of notice of her planned arrival. She built a great relationship with Issy and they seemed to have lots of fun. I would strongly recommend Flo for any future house sitting engagements!

Fantastic house-sitter
Doro was our first house sitter and she was a great introduction to it! She was fantastic with the cats (and super friendly to us) from the moment she arrived and made sure to send us regular photos and updates while we were away. A delightful house sitter
We had Doro as our house sitter for three weeks and she couldn't have been better. She is tidy and clean, reliable at looking after our pets and kept in great contact throughout her stay. This is always so reassuring where animals are concerned. We only met Doro briefly over dinner but she seemed a nice person and very level headed. She took on board all the foibles of the house and the importance of locking up etc We have not met Sashi but believe she also stayed at the house for a few days. All in all a very successful exchange and we would happily invite Doro on another occasion. Thank you Mind my House !

Sasha & Dorotka are a lovely, caring & reliable couple!
Sasha & Dorotka looked after our elderly ragdoll cat & garden for 2-weeks. They paid close attention during the briefing on chores & responsibilities, kept in regular communication throughout their time at our property and left everything in perfect condition. Our ragdoll cat clearly enjoyed their company and we were able to enjoy our holiday in the knowledge that she (and the garden) were in safe hands.

Couldn't ask for better housesitters
We are confident in highly recommending Albert and Dorotka. They looked after our large farmhouse, 2 horses, 2 cats and three dogs. All the animals were extremely well cared for and the house was left in a perfect state. They kept us informed throughout our time away, as we had requested. They are a lovely couple, very easy going and cheerful, and we would highly recommend them.

Nice couple
Albert & Dorotka took care of our house and animals during the whole month of November 2016. And that was not an easy task. We have 10 dogs, of which one is old, blind and pees in the house, a few chickens and 3 donkeys and that means cleaning 3 stables every day. They did it perfectly. The house was tidy when we came back, the dogs loved them apparently and all was well. It is a nice, serious, friendly couple and I can really recommend them for a house-sit. Menno Fris, Ronda.

HOUSE SITTERS ALBERTO ESTRANY LUQUE & DOROTKA MARIA DOBRECK
We were very fortunate to have Alberto & Dorotka housesit our cat and property for us from October 18th 2015 to February 2nd 2016 However it was not a simple housesit as we have 3 holiday rental units and the tasks also included the domestic cleaning of the apartments and very important “Meet & Greet” and “Customer Care”. Alberto & Dorotka also maintained the very large mature gardens. If Sammy our cat could contribute to this reference then I am confident Alberto & Dorotka would get 5 WHISKERS!.
