About this sitter
Hello! We are Victor (1972) and Ingrid (1968), two best friends originally from The Netherlands, but currently living in France (34). We are very trustworthy, nice, easy going, both triple vaccinated, outdoorsy, organized, independent and cool headed, with heaps and heaps of house and pet sit experience. We don't smoke or party. :-)
At the moment we are looking for two kinds of sits: short projects in France, preferably in Languedoc-Rousillion. (Note: sometimes only one of us is available) AND a new, (ultra) long house sit project (one year+) starting around anytime anywhere!
We have been house sitting non-stop for 10 years now and we still love it! We have been house sitting mainly in France, but in The Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Portugal as well.
What are we looking for in a house sit? We are not very picky. The big city or the middle of nowhere? We love both. A balcony or a manicured garden? It's all fine by us. A reliable Wi-Fi connection would be great, because we work from home and two bedrooms, please, because we are not a couple. :-).

We like to help people out whenever they need somebody to take care of their house and hearth when they are away and it gives us the opportunity to live in the most beautiful places in the world...
We don't see house sitting as a cheap replacement for a long or short vacation, I guess we see it more as a life style... We do take our house sit projects very seriously and the care for your house, garden and pet(s) is number one.
Their experience
Yes, we have been house sitting non-stop for the last ten years and collected heaps of positive references. In fact, we never received a negative one. But we found most of our sits via word of mouth, therefore we don't have many reviews on this website, but we do have plenty of references from happy home and pet owners on our personal website and Facebook page.
What can they bring to the assignment
Of course we will bring buckets full of love and attention for your pets and respect for your property, but besides that, the skills between us are: fluent in Dutch and English, okay in French, Spanish and German. Green thumbs, dog handling/training, technical knowledge and organizing talent.
We are great with all kind of animals small or big, we love to work outside in the garden and we will keep your house clean and in great condition and you up-to-date about your property and animals....

Reliable and friendly housekeepers
Ingrid and Victor are very reliable housekeepers. They are very organized and you will leave them your house, animals and garden in complete confidence. I When we got home, the garden looked wonderful and the donkey, the sheep and the cat were doing very well, too. Ingrid and Victor are also very open minded and joyful persons. The perfect house sitter
I could not have dreamed of a more perfect sitter for my apartment and my cat while I was away. First Ingrid was very organized and asked for every little thing regarding the flat and the cat routine. Then she did everything with her transportation so she could arrive at a time for us to chat before I leave and it was really pleasant and reassuring to meet her in person. She kept me updated with pics and little text messages everyday and lastly she left the flat cleaner than when she arrived ! My cat was really happy even though she's really anxious normally when I leave it was like nothing has happened (and so do my plants!) I'm really glad my first experience went so well and I really recommend Ingrid's services because she's a pro to house sitting !

Ingrid and Victor: the best house an pet sitters that you would hope for looking after your pets and your house while you are away! You could completely relax and enjoy your holidays knowing your pets and your house are in good hands!
It was our first experience in MindMyHouse and we are very excited! Ingrid and Victor have all the qualities you would hope for in someone looking after your home and your pets: they are very nice, friendly, smart, charming, organised, professional, honest, respectful...and even more! They took excellent care of our kittens, they kept in touch douring our trip, by sending us photos and updates every days, so, thanks to them, we could spend a completely relaxed holiday. On our return, we found our pets and our house in excellent condition, better than we left! I can't recommend Ingrid and Victor more higly for those who need to leave their pets and their house in safe hands. We hold them in high esteem, we are grateful to them and they will be always welcome in our home!

Excellent Housesitters Highly recommended
Ingrid and Vic looked after our property and animals last year. We have Horses, Cats, Dogs, and chickens, Ingrid even compiled her own very comprehensive checklist of what a house sitter needs to know, and sent it to us in advance. We now use this as our standard check list. They exceeded expectations in their house sitting duties . The animals were well looked after and we received regular updates as to how all they were getting on. They made great friends with our pets, and treated them as if they were their own. They kept the house and terrace very clean , which made our return so much easier. Vic did a marvellous job with chainsaw on a large tree that had fallen down. We would have no hesitation in recommending them as reliable, conscientious and great house sitters, and would reassure anyone that their property and animals will be in good hands with them.
