Retired Australian couple in our 60's living in France with permanent residency and A2 level French.
Bill, Information Technology Manager and Wendy, Online Communications and IT.
Married 40 years.
We love to travel everywhere in Europe and beyond. We have completed many successful housesits in Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy and France. We have also completed many home exchanges through Homelink and Intervac sites (you can view our listing on these sites).
We owned a Lemon and Lime farm in South Australia and had ducks and chickens. We have travelled extensively throughout Australia.
We own our house in La Creuse which we have renovated and are now keen to see as much of Europe and everywhere else as we can.
House sitting provides us with a way in which we can experience living like a local whilst making new friends and helps those that are in need of a well deserved break.
We have successfully completed a number of house sits with owners leaving lovely recommendations.
We would welcome the opportunity to house sit for you if dates and places suit us both.
We would take great care with your property and beloved pets.
We're too old to party hard and the only drugs we take are prescription medications.
We enjoy a chardy or two (well we are Aussies).

Our only requirements would be to have a comfortable big bed, parking place, good wifi and non smoking. We prefer not to have pets in the bedroom.

Why they want to house sit

To experience living like locals, sharing our travel knowledge, getting to actually live in all different areas, meeting new people, broadening our horizons. Great way to stay in one place for a period of time. Caring for your pets.

Their experience

We have owned numerous properties in Australia and one in France so we are aware of what it takes to care for and maintain a property. We have now completed a number of house sits and hope to undertake many more in the time we are residing in France.
One house sit in Portugal involved giving two of the cats a puffer and injections daily. We've also cared for horses, cats, dogs, chickens and ducks.
We love our garden and projects around the house so can say that we'd take great care with your garden and property.
We house sat a property in Castalla in September 2021 that was on the market to be sold. So had to ensure it was spick and span for short notice viewings. It was sold while we were there so we must have done something right.
