About this sitter
My husband and I are Dutch house sitters since 4 years in Europe: Holland, Spain, France and Portugal. We love nature, cats and dogs and new surroundings. We have all the time of the year because we are retired social workers. We always have had animals even 5 cats in the same time. We like to walk, cycle and read.

Nowadays we don't have animals anymore and miss them very much. So we try to fill the gap by taking care of other pets.

Spain - 2 dogs, 1 cat
Pauline and Jan spent 3 months from January 2022 to April 2022 looking after our 2 dogs and cat. We returned to find our dogs happy and in great condition. They kept in touch with regular news and photos. Pauline and Jan are very fit and, although they had a car ,they used their electric bikes. The house was left very clean and tidy, and minor repairs were dealt with efficiently. We would have Pauline and Jan back anytime and can highly recommend them. They were friendly and sincere.

House/Pet sit in Andalusia
Having been away for most of December 2017 and January 2018, we were lucky enough to have found Pauline and Jan, a retired Dutch couple, who took great care of our two cats and the house! They are a very friendly, calm and resourceful couple who cheerfully endured the unusually cold weather that Andalusia has experienced this winter and hopefully, kept themselves snug and warm thanks to our two new Pellet burners! :-) Having their own transport was very helpful and they were brave - and fit - enough to make good use of the two 'electric bikes' that they carried with them - que bueno todos!! Not only did we return home to a lovely, clean house (kitchen especially), but a welcoming meal - so thoughtful. We hope they continue to enjoy their travels and hope to meet them again one day - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
