About this sitter
We are Ken and Theresa from San Francisco, California, married, age 60 and 54, and we're traveling and house sitting this year into next. Our ideal house sit would be convenient to transportation, grocery shopping and restaurants. We are animal lovers - though not a must for a house sit.
Why they want to house sit
We have leased out our house so we can explore the world. We want to immerse ourselves in new communities, and longer house sits enable us to do that in an economical way. Animals to hug and care for while we do it is always a bonus. Our passions include snorkeling, exploring and making a positive difference in people's and animal's lives.

What can they bring to the assignment
We are a responsible and level headed couple who have been together for over twenty years. We treat others' homes with the same respect we have for our own. We are healthcare workers. We have both maintained a hot tub and a pool. Ken is also an excellent handyman and we both love to garden. Aside from dogs and cats we have also had gerbils, rats, iguanas, snakes, praying mantis, hedgehogs, tarantulas, cats, and parrots. While we don't have experience with farm animals, we are more than willing to learn.

Therese and Ken were house-sitting for us for 2 months in Penang, Malaysia. We have a relatively large house and garden to take care off as well as a straycat, who has decided to become a house-cat. They are very reliable and trustworthy people. The process from booking to arriving to Penang went smoothly, and we easily could leave the house in their hands during our trip to Europe. We received regular reports how things were in Penang, and how the cat learnt to trust them (we have had opposite experiences also!) The tropical garden that needs a lot of trimming for not to become a jungle was after their caring hand even better shape than after our own maintenance. And the house was clean and tidy. We can wholeheartedly recommend these globetrotters for house-sitting assignments, an will definately welcome them back to Penang anytime they feel so.

Ken and Theresa
Ken and Theresa took care of our house and our dog for two months in Costa Rica. This sit is not for everyone and they did a great job. They were able to rise to the occasion when emergencies came up and kept in contact on a regular basis. They took great care of our dog when he had an infection, taking him to our vet and giving him after care. We would have them again any time.

Wonderful, caring pet- and housesitters
Theresa and Ken took care of our beloved older dog and young cat for a month. It is no exaggeration to say that our pets, while very happy to see us, we're both very sad to see them leave. Both were extremely well-cared-for, and I cannot recommend Theresa and Ken highly enough. We'd be happy to have them back any time.

House sitting in Panama
Ken and Theresa Markle house and pet sat for me for 6 weeks between December and January 2017. They are a very easy going couple I connected with them instantly. On my return home my 3 dogs and 4 cats were all in good health and very happy with their carers the house was in good standing and I would not hesitate to recommend them. It is the first time a friend made the comment they were your best house sitters they mixed in with the community and volunteered for various expat volunteer groups enjoying expats life.
