Winter House sitting in the Lot department, France
I have owned a 9 gite complex in France for the last 20 years and last winter was very lucky to find and accept an application from Angus and Jane Mayer for house sitting. They house sat my gite location from Oct 2020 until May 2021. I found them to be very trustworthy, personable and communicative with me during this period. They were eager to keep in touch and report back progress over the winter and of course any problems urgently so they may be dealt with. They were asked to monitor each property and take of some of the gardening tasks during the winter. They kept regular checks on things and took initiative when required with repairs and were very active in the garden doing a great job of what was required. They were also very friendly and made lots of contacts in the neighbourhood. This was no ordinary house sit with 9 properties and 5 acres but they managed admirably. I would highly recommend them for house sitting.

Very reliable housesitters
Jane and Angus minded our cat and house in France for three months this year while we were travelling abroad. They arrived before our departure for a smooth handover and even offered to help with some of our last-minute chores. They communicated well while we were away, and did all of the tasks that we had asked them to do, including harvesting our walnuts. Our cat was perfectly happy when we returned and, like our home, had clearly been well cared for during our absence. We would definitely recommend them as sitters.

Jane and Angus
Jane and Angus came for a longer house sit but due to family concerns will have to leave earlier...my loss! They have been polite and a pleasure to deal with. They always update me with news and are keeping Bize in very good condition for which I am grateful. They enjoy the property and the surrounding area. I wish them the best of luck in the future and would gladly recommend them.
