About this sitter
Your home is our home while you’re away. We live there as lovingly and carefully as you do. That’s our promise to you. Cat and I are honored to be invited to look after your home, taking the responsibility seriously.
Carolyn Kahlke (Cat) is a writer and an artist. She has a web site (http://www.catstone.org). She is also a counselor who leads dream groups and offers individual counseling. She is currently writing a book based on her expanded life after working with a spiritual teacher.
She and Allen Bronstein have enjoyed a long marriage, this year celebrating our 45th anniversary. Allen is a documentary film maker with a passion for telling people’s stories. His website is, www.yourlifematters.video.
Why they want to house sit
We love animals and find great rewards in connecting with other people who love animals too. We have lived in a coastal, semi- remote area of West Marin (Inverness) for the past 12 years, and our home there is currently being remodeled. We will probably move to a new community, and - until we decide where it is best to land- we are enjoying the responsibility of caring for your animals and your home, as well as the stimulation of "walking in someone else's shoes."

We have always lived with animals, and have frequently cared for other people's pets. We've owned our own home and remodeled its kitchen. We understand the responsibilities of home upkeep and we appreciate beauty; our clients have consistently been pleased with the condition of their home when they returned to it.
What can they bring to the assignment
Both Cat and Allen love animals and plants. Cat often draws animals and we’ve posted a few of her sketches here for you to enjoy. They have cared for a range of houseplants and gardens, as well as a variety of animals, most notably dogs, cats, hamsters, and chickens. Cat says, “Animals like me, and I get along great with them. Allen is even more connected with animals than I am. Every animal I’ve seen him meet has ADORED him!”

Four Weeks Away
This was the first time we used the services of a house-sitter to look after our two dogs. Our 4 week trip went by without any calls for help from Allen, who did a fantastic job looking after the house, garden and our four-legged family members. Came home to a clean and tidy home. While we provided a fair amount of written detail on what was needed for the dogs and garden, it was probably more to do with the extensive experience that Allen has from all of his previous house-sits.that meant he did not need our input for any of the day-to-day activities or issues. From our perspective a positive experience.

Wonderful housesitters and petsitters
Allen and Cat housesat my home and took care of my two dogs while I was on a trip. They were kind and attentive to my pets and when I returned the house was spotless. I would have them housesit again whenever possible.

Wonderful housesitters and petsitters
Allen and Cat stayed at my home and took fabulous care of my house, my two dogs and my plants. They stayed in touch with me regularly to assure me that all was going well and upon my return, the house was spotless and the dogs were calm and relaxed, a sure sign of their having had a fine time without me. I would have Allen and Cat back any time.
