About this sitter
My wife and I are retired and live in our own house. We keep our home and property in excellent condition; and, therefore would do the same for your home.
We raised 3 children which also meant that pets were very much part of our lives. You can be at ease, if we get the opportunity to care of your babies as we would love them too; we truly understand that they become part of our family and that you want them to have the best loving care possible while you're away
We walk daily, and even more so if we had a pal (dog) to accompany us. We also enjoy bicycling and touring the surrounding area.
We do not smoke, and we love animals and the outdoors. We've travelled extensively for work and for pleasure, and are enjoying the freedom of retirement.
We'll take excellent care of your home, pets and interior/exterior plants and will treat your property and animals as if they were our own. I am very handy with tools (tradesman) and can perform house maintenance activities as required. My wife has a green thumb and has a talent for plants.
Why they want to house sit
We are eager to explore parts of the world we have not seen and that includes our beautiful country. We are keen to experience the local life versus the tourist approach. We believe that to know our neighbours and our surrounding area goes a long way in giving us a wonderful and rewarding experience. Loving and caring for your pets will also fill that void, we now have, for no longer being able to have our own since we started house sitting.

Since we are retired, house sitting is a natural experience for us to undertake. We are experienced with maintaining homes, respecting peoples property and loving and caring for pets. Your home will be our home while you are on holiday and will be treated as such... with tender loving care.

We would respect your privacy, communicate with you as often as you wish, and would treat your home and pets with the utmost care.
As long term home-owners and pet owners ourselves, we are able to deal with emergencies immediately and competently.
We do our own yard work at home and plant our own garden. Our vehicles are clean and maintained at a high standard.
We want you to have a carefree holiday while your gone and not have to worry about your home and your loved little ones left in our care. We surely can do that for you as that is what we would want too while were away. So we completely understand.

Above and Beyond
Gary and Therese were above and beyond with their care of our home for three months. The assignment was for two segments, a week when we were in Hawaii and three months when we were travelling East, When we were in Hawaii, Gary ran with our dog every day. They took him to the dog park as well. Cooper loved Gary and Therese. For the second segment, we took Cooper with us to Pennsylvania. They cared for our home with meticulous care. When they left, they gave us an exhaustive list of things they had done to prepare the home for the few weeks it would be unoccupied. When we arrived back, the house was perfectly clean and organized expertly and meticulously. It was better than when we left. Communication was excellent. We were always advised of anything of importance. All pertinent mail was sent on to us. We would heartily recommend Gary and Therese to care for your home or for us in the future.

Outstanding, Communicative and Particularly Excellent with Dogs
Gary and Theresa watched our house and fur-son, (Cooper) in Tucson, Arizona from May through August 2022. We made the house sit somewhat complicated, because we were in Hawaii for a week (leaving Cooper at the house) and then in Pennsylvania for the rest of the time, taking Cooper with us. Gary and Theresa were particularly good with exercising Cooper on runs and at the dog parks. They cared for our home beyond expectations and communicated extraordinarily well. Our beginning and end dates varied, but they were very flexible, dependable and understanding. We were very comfortable and confident leaving Cooper with Gary and Theresa while we were in Hawaii. Cooper loved them and obviously felt confident and happy, although he was recently adopted from rescue. Gary and Cooper had a great relationship from the first day they met with their daily runs. We would be very happy and look forward to have Gary and Theresa stay with us again and watch our home and Cooper. We highly recommend them to anybody under any circumstances to care for their home and beloved pets.

Great Experience!
We feel so fortunate to have found Gary and Therese to pet sit and house sit for us. It was our first time using a website to find a pet sitter. Due to this we were a little nervous and not sure what to expect. Our cat, Frank, is like our kid so we wanted to leave him in the very best care; we wanted a couple that would look after Frank as if he were their own. This is exactly what we found. From the beginning, communication was excellent. It is obvious that Gary and Therese have lots of experience in pet/house sitting. They thought of everything and it showed. We received updates and pictures throughout our trip to ease our minds. They left the house in fantastic condition for us to arrive home. Gary and Therese house sit in the SoF, winter 2016/17. Outstanding house sitters!
Gary and Therese looked after our house in the south of France for two months this winter. We found the house in spotless and perfect condition on our return; they kept in touch regularly throughout there stay, and took extremely good care of the property. They also proved to be good company, attentive and easy to cohabit with.
