Retired and active. Looking forward to caring for any kind of pet with the opportunity to visit unexplored areas. I believe that my experiences working for the Local Government all my working life - the local Council and the Greater Manchester Police - adds to my profile as a reliable and dependable person.
Why they want to house sit
Looking forward to visiting different areas of this country in particular. I have always been interested in pets, in particular dogs, as I am a keen walker and member of the a very active walking group. House sitting would enable me to combine both. Having said I am active, I would also be keen to relax with less active pets. My current property does not lend itself to pets, so house sitting would enable me to indulge my interests.
Their experience
I have carried out house sits since July 2017. The first in the Welsh Borders, Radnorshire, and was asked to return in October and have just been back again and spent the festive season there (gorgeous). The second in Cambridge and was asked to return to cover Christmas but was already committed. However, I have been back two more times. Also Middleton on Sea near Bognor Regis and have been asked to return in March, which I am doing. Visited Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire looking after two cats. Went to Herefordshire three times looking after two cats. As at 25/06/25 I have carried out 12 pet sits. I do these sits with a friend of mine, Linda, from the walking group I am involved with. I have had my own dogs, cats and budgies in the past.
What can they bring to the assignment
Reliability, enthusiasm, and a love of animals, not only dogs for walking but other pets which will allow me to relax in good company. I believe that my experiences working for the Local Government all my working life - the local Council and the Greater Manchester Police adds to my reliability.

Liz and Linda looked after our cats for Christmas!
It was really great having Liz and Linda stay at our house over Christmas. We had a coffee and a chat with them before we left and showed them around. They obviously loved our two cats Max and Socks and sent us regular updates and photos of how they were spoiling them with lots of attention and even some salmon titbits! They looked after our house really well and left it immaculately clean and tidy. We hope they will come back again.

Happy Cats and Chickens
Elizabeth and Linda house sat for us in the Autumn 2021 for two weeks looking after our cats and chickens. Elizabeth was an excellent communicator, both before and during their stay, keeping us posted on their plans and updates on the animals. They were punctual, arriving as arranged after quite a long car drive and were very self contained during their stay. The animals were all in good health on our return and seemed happy. Overall a very good sit and we would recommend these ladies as reliable and friendly sitters.

Thank you Liz and Linda!!
It was a real pleasure having Liz and Linda come to stay in our home with our two (rather large!) dogs. Communication with Liz in advance of the sit was easy and clear, and having recently had a somewhat bad experience with a sitter, Liz really put me at ease. These ladies arrived the night before our intended departure to share a meal and get to know us / the dogs / the house. They were great company and asked lots of good questions about the sit. They also were very kind to let us leave a night early as I was quite ill so we could sleep nearer the airport, which I really appreciated their flexibility on. While we were away we were sent regular updates with pictures of the pups, which again put us at ease, and it was very clear the dogs had a wonderful time! Our dogs can be excitable when out on walks, and Liz and Linda never once complained or had any trouble. When we returned home, the house was cleaned, linens changed, and the dogs were clearly very comfortable. When L&L left, the pups really missed them, which is a sure sign of a great stay. Thank you both - you are more than welcome any time! :)

House sitter required to look after adorable 6 yr old Persian Chinchilla called Tilly
Liz was a fantastic choice to come and look after Tilly while we were away. Communication in the run up to the house sit was easy and enjoyable and when Liz and her friend Linda arrived we were immediately at ease and confident they would do a great job. While we were away Liz kept us up to date with Tilly's progress and put our minds at ease at all times. When we returned the house was immaculately clean, Tilly was happy, exactly what we wanted after a long journey. I would highly recommend Liz for any future house sits.

Lovely Ladies
Liz and Linda stepped in when we needed a sitter at short notice. They arrived the evening before and I was immediately put at ease about leaving both our cat (Buttons) and our home in their capable hands. On our homecoming I found that the house was immaculate, they had even washed the bedding and towels! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is in need of lovely, caring housesitters.

Delightful, Friendly and Very Efficient
It was a joy having Liz and Linda occupy my home whilst I was away. Despite my baby bringing them 'presents' (Liz's Marigolds had a fair bit of use!) I know they enjoyed their stay as my house was clean and tidy and my cats hadn't missed me at all! They kept in contact with me, knowing that I pined for my 3 mouseketeers, and even got friendly with the Cat From Hell.... Thank you Liz and Linda, you are welcome back anytime.

First timers very capable
Despite Liz having an accident just as they were about to set off for here, Lyn proceeded on her own to ensure that I was able to get away and Liz followed down later having made a good recovery. They looked after my large house, dog and elderly cat whilst I was away for ten days, it was their first house sit but they managed it brilliantly. The dog had a fantastic time with loads of walks as they explored this rural area. My old cat was fed with great care and attention and looked as well as could be expected on my return. The house was left lovely and clean and tidy and they had very kindly prepared me a meal. We have kept in touch since and they are returning for a long weekend in October, I am looking forward to catching up with them again. I did not ask them to do much in the garden as I was only away for a short time but my pots were watered and all plants survived
