About this sitter

Hi there!

We are Mike and Jenn, a responsible married couple from Canada that are looking for house and pet sits around the world.

We are experienced travellers and have travelled around the world, especially in Asia and Europe, but there are so many places we haven't been yet! We currently spend at least half the year abroad and we work online as freelance writers and editors. We are looking for housesits with or without animals but must have good WiFi, because of our work.

We have no problem doing a bit of cleaning up or wood chopping and rustic is also fine but we have no vehicle so somewhere close to a grocery store would be best. We are vegan and love cooking. We are quiet and don't "party" or anything like that. We watch movies and go for long walks to explore the areas we are in. We walk a LOT and enjoy the outdoors. We speak English, some French and basic Japanese. We're not really looking for a livestock-based housesit, but you never can tell what we could be convinced to do, so hit us up with a message! :)

Why they want to house sit

We want to house and pet sit because we feel it takes us to places we don't normally see and we have met so many wonderful and amazing people through travelling. Friends have recommended housesitting to us and so, although we've done it a bit in the past, we'd like to expand our availability and save money while helping other people who are travelling.

As well, we feel we are going to NEED house sitters in the future, so we're basically just looking to build our network of trustworthy friends who love travelling as much as we do.

Their experience

We have experience house and pet sitting in Holland, Italy, the UK and in Canada. We are also very experienced with Airbnb and we have a long, lengthy list of positive reviews from people who have trusted us with their homes. We have never had a bad Airbnb review! We also have animal sitting experience, especially with birds, dogs and cats but we love all animals, really.

What can they bring to the assignment

We believe that it's important for us to treat someone's home as if it was our own. Respect for property and privacy is paramount to us as well as being respectful of our surroundings and neighbours. We are huge animal lovers, especially kitties.
